Al Hamra Tower is in Kuwait City, Kuwait. It's design is meant to limit the solar gain within the tower, with the "wrapped" section of the tower acting as a shading device and the stone center part of the tower with limited openings to limit the southern sunlight. The rest of the tower is clad in glass, allowing for natural light to enter in (using northern light). The tower was designed by Skidmore, Owings, and Merrill. The tower is the tallest building in Kuwait as well as being the tallest sculpted tower in the world at 412m.
