In 2012, the world population reached 7 billion people, by 2026, it had reached 8 billion, and by 2042, it had reached 9 billion. The world population was growing at a staggering rate. Urban areas were feeling the strain, struggling to accommodate the increasing housing demands, and many countries were beginning to feel the pressures of overpopulation. Several of the top engineers and urban planners came together to develop solutions to this. One idea proposed was that we begin to inhabit the oceans, with the rationale that over 70% of the Earth was essentially uninhabited. The idea was to create a habitable, semi-self-sustaining community that would float on and beneath the ocean's surface. They called it Haven, hoping that it would be the solution to this daunting problem.

Haven was comprised as a possible solution for high density urban living in the ocean. The Haven complex is divided into three sections. The primary structure is the living towers themselves. These are almost entirely self-contained cities. They contain living units, work spaces, and can power themselves through geothermal energy deep below the ocean floor. The secondary system is the food and supplementary power systems. They are contained on floating platforms near the primary structure. For food production, the surface of these platforms are essentially used like farmland. Crops and the possibility of livestock can be grown on these platforms (and, ensuring the self-sufficiency of the primary structure, the top most deck can be used for this purpose as well). The supplementary power platforms utilize solar and transmit the electricity back to all three primary structures. The tertiary system is the transportation. To move between the primary structures are two rail lines. To minimize the structure of the links between the stations, a floating bridge was fabricated, using large balloons to support the bridges' structure. To get to the secondary platforms require a boat or helicopter.

The entire design is based around modularity. Building out in the ocean would be tremendously expensive. To eliminate some building costs, modular systems were utilized, regularizing the structural elements within all the structures, primarily in their superstructures that run through the center of the towers.

Warning: Due to the nature of exporting with redstone, some things may not work as intended, this is unavoidable. Redstone is exclusively limited to the airlocks at the rail terminals and the doors to the living units.

All faux water had to be redone to accommodate the scale of the floating structures.

Interesting made.

A self sustaining living system quite a challenge. I like it that you included some redstone systems. I do have some technical concerns namely the food supply. Will these crop fields be enough? What about the salty water? Is there some purification system or are the plants modified to handle the salty water.

The energy supply, I only see solar panels but what about the night? Given it is on the ocean would some wind energy not help? Maybe incoorporate a lighthouse into it? What about water streaming energy or some kind of energy out of the water?

Out of curiousity did you include structures of central places or main rooms for proccesing sewer water or some places like that? I do understand that it will halt some proper progress on this build given the time limit.

As last what is your estimation of population it can handle?

Good luck with the contest although you're competition and hopefully we see each other in the finals!
