FIFA Olympic Stadium

This is my sixth stadium, and is going to replace my previous football stadium in Murata. The stadium, much like it's predecessor, takes design cues from the Arena das Dunas (Stadium of the Dunes) in Natal, Brazil, designed by Populous for the World Cup. Their design was to emulate the shapes of the dunes that surround the city of Natal, and create an urban catalyst by providing a space that could serve multiple purposes outside of the World Cup.


I chose to replace my original football stadium because it was simply out of proportion with the rest of the stadiums around it. In an effort to create an Olympic Park, i felt the scale of the original stadium simply didn't fit. I also wanted to try to capture the aesthetic of the Arena das Dunas in a better way, and this involved opening up the stadium more, and refining the overall shape.

Note, due to the nature of redstone, some things may not work, and this is an unavoidable problem that occasionally arises when uploading and downloading a project with redstone. Redstone is limited to the stadium lights. Note, due to using night sensors, you must be using 1.8 or later.
