• This project is made with Java Edition 1.12 & 1.14. To convert the save to newer versions, use the built-in converter.
• This project is made on a 2:1 scale. The building may appear a lot bigger than usual.
• This project is unfurnished. Interior decorations are not included.
• Feel free to use the building in your own project as long as you follow the license terms.
How to download and install Minecraft Maps?
  The Public Christian College is a fictional public secondary school in Hong Kong. It does not exist in real life. The school is designed to be a government-aided comprehensive full-day co-educational complete English grammar secondary school. (公立基督教中學是一座由政府資助的傳統全日制男女混合英文文法完全中學。) co-educational (男女混合): with both male and female students. grammar school (文法學校): a school that teaches traditional subjects, focusing on academics. government-aided (政府資助): tuition fees are sponsored by the government due to compulsory education. English-medium (英文授課): all subjects are taught in English except for some special subjects. whole-day schooling (全日制): learning takes place in both morning and afternoon sessions. complete school (完全學校): a school that offers both junior and senior sessions of secondary education. comprehensive school (傳統普及學校): intake based on geographical region. The mainstream secondary schools in Hong Kong operate schools in a complete school approach. In Japan, we call such schools "中高一貫校" or "中等教育學校". Completed schools are quite rare in Japan, Taiwan, and the U.S. The Public Christian College is a Comprehensive school, which means that the school does not select its intake on the basis of academic achievement or aptitude. You need not be a Christian for admission. Seats are impartially allocated to students of the same geographical district that the school locates by a centralized statutory body called the Education Bureau through random selections. Secondary education is compulsory (for both junior and senior years), but is free of charge. Once you are admitted, you will have to commute there for the coming 6 years (which should be fun). The school is operated by a Christian organization. Students will have to attend compulsory lessons in religious studies that taught very basic Christianity and stories of the Bible. Secondary education in Hong Kong is separated into junior (3 years) and senior (3 years) years. In junior years, the curriculum is a broader one in which history, geography, and science are studied alongside core subjects such as languages and mathematics. In senior years, this becomes more selective and students have a choice over what to be studied (i.e., specialisations, electives). Graduates will undertake the Hong Kong Diploma for Secondary Education (HKDSE), which is an entrance exam for tertiary education in the region.  |
 The Christian College is set to be built in the 1990s by the Hong Kong government, following the standard design for schools at the time. To learn more about such standards, you may proceed to this project page. With the increase in the number of intake students, the school authority decided to build 2 new wings on both ends of the original structure to cater to future educational needs. The enlarged premise will then provide twice the amount of classrooms and special rooms to serve more secondary-aged children in the district.  The structural design of the college is heavily influenced by the Sheung Shui Government Secondary School (standard-design school premise [PMC Project] + east wing), while the Gertrude Simon Lutheran College is the subject of reference for colouring the external walls (yellow + grey). The west wing is a modified derivative of the east wing. Rigid and repetitive the school premise may seem to be, such design can actually facilitate the use of different form-works to speed up the building process, especially at the time it was supposed to be built. Classrooms are connected by a single-loaded corridor, which allows daylight to pass through windows on both sides.    |
