Planetary Cultivation and Terraformation, PTC for short, is a company specializing in transforming dry and dead planets into habitable places ideal for life or industrial grow. PTC utilizes the most advanced technologies of gathering and storing energy which is then distributed across all its infrastructure. The formation of mountains or their complete destruction is only a small part of the services that PTC provides.

How it works:

After the terraformation is approved, heavy machinery will land on the planet surface. These aim to provide a source of energy and land for subsequent human personnel. Once the complex is powered, terraformation can begin.

Next step is to distribute pylons at the strategic locations. These pylons will provide transportation method of material and personnel across the planet. Pylons are interconnected by energy rail for fast and reliable method of transportation.

Another form of transportation are mother ships. Each ship has several smaller drones that it can deploy and remotely control. Suitable for exploration or transportation to areas with difficult access.

The last transportation method are regular cargo ships. These can be used only on planets with substantial water area.



As I mentioned, the PTC adjusts the planets to your will. However, this often involves drastic interference with ecosystems, leaving the planet under constant control. PTC regulates temperature and humidity as needed to sustain the planet in balance.

If small populated areas are found on the planet, a drastic and legally lengthy eviction process may follow. However, construction is usually approved, regardless of the possible risks or damage that will occur.

PTC works with a narrow circle of clients who have sufficient wealth and thus are useful to PTC.

Background infromation:

Sci-fi was never a style that I utilized very often. I had to collect a lot of reference materials from which I drew my inspiration. I am extremely happy of how it turned out and maybe I will build more in this style. I tried to make the different parts work together and fit into the world I was trying to create. Whether I succeeded or not is up to you.

My plan was to edit a large part of the map, but over time it turned out how naive this idea was. With all my effort I completed only the part around the volcano and the mesa biome. It is possible that I will continue the construction even though the competition ends.

If you download the map, you can use the book you find nearby to travel among the pylons. In the attached plan, the pylons will be numbered for better navigation. Even though my construction occupies only a small part, you can use these pylons and visit the beautiful scenery that this custom terrain offers.





I used Chocapic shaders for the photos and the renders are done in Blender.
