The Heuveloc-class was a light carrier produced by Keppa Nova Drive Yards for the Roccho Republic Navy starting in 48,683 ACT, about sixty years after the nation was able to leave the Rodain Empire and become an independent TAUFOG nation. The carrier was one of the first capital ships that Keppa Nova Drive Yards designed with minimal assistance from outside entities, only contracting Aphet Cere Savvo based in the Astachez Federation to construct initial test hulls and help with some of the early design work. The Heuveloc was built to have a low cost, with minimal combat capability except some light defenses and a tight interior layout. Able to carry a wing of strike craft on rails positioned below and between the forward mandibles, the Hueveloc traded the safety and other advantages gained with internal hangars for efficiency, as the ship was the size of a gunboat despite its complement. Keppa Nova and Aphet Cere Savvo engineers took inspiration from the GACIAF Sceptilx-class light carrier, which had similar functionality. To achieve a low cost and practical construction, however, compromises were made with the quality of facilities and crew accommodations, which led to a poor reputation among naval crews. Despite this, the support that the vessel could offer in such a small package kept the class in production for over two centuries, long after technological advances in TAUFOG left the design obsolete in many aspects besides its carrying capacity. The Roccho Navy began to retire Hueveloc-class carriers at the beginning of the Astachez Civil War, as it was clear that the craft's deficiencies put it at too much of a disadvantage against current capital ships and strike craft, with many ships being lost to stealth attacks and strikes that their weak sensors, minimal defensive weapons, and low speed could not help avoid.
