Hey guys! So I was building another little modern house when I came up with the idea to put them together and create a small little town. So this is a project where a lot more houses will follow in the future! As always you can download the house and check it out yourself.

Not that it's bad, but honestly, I like originality.
And really, what makes a modern house is atmosphere and inspiration. Look at Frank Lloyd Wright, for example. His inspiration is nature, and well, you can see that. That also creates his atmosphere.
Of course I'm not asking for you to be historic architect tier at building, I just want to see more buildings that aren't just the same thing over and over.
And yes, I do realize that my old modern builds contribute to all the generic-ness.
And there surely will be improvements in the future. Maybe I'll change some materials and surely I'll change the landscape. Good Luck building a Frank Lloyd styled house in a 15x15 sized plot :D
As said: I just try to get out the maximum of a small sized plot. If you want something special have a look at my Sandstone Mansion for example.. :-) But anyways: I know what you're saying and for sure there will be houses like that in the future. Maybe even within the Lakeside project itself. ;)
i think the next step for you is experimenting with building materials. modern =/= white. white clay and other monochrome blocks are super easy to build with -- they are inherently modern because of their color. what will set you apart from other builders is your ability to understand the materials you are working with.
i was about to continue writing but i totally lost my train of thought. but i hope that advice helps.
