With the One-Hour Ship Challenge going strong with three submissions already, I figured it was high-time the creator of the challenge should do his. I think I used literally every single minute. For a while I've been thinking about adapting the submarine to space combat, but never managed to lock down a hard-ish sci-fi explanation for one, until now. While this is a testbed boat with light armament, I do plan on making some bigger vessels later. (For you naval nuts, I chose the name "Centurion" because that was the original name given to the "Virginia-"class attack subs while they were being developed, so intentional parallel is intentional.) Spec time!
Specs!
Class: Centurion
Type: Experimental Attack Submarine (Designation XSSNS)
First Flown: 1/18/2015
Length: 85 m
Width: 18 m
Height: 21 m
Armament (Still more probably):
Thrust: 2 Zephyr Industries SIV-260 VASIMR Impulse Engines and 2 Zephyr Industries SIV-130 VASIMR Impulse Engines
FTL: 30 Brony Aerospace FTF-20 Warp Coils in Frame of Hull
Shields: Carbon Nanotube Skin
Maneuvering System: Multi-Axial RCS Assemblies (20 all over hull)
Displacement: 25,000 tons
Commissioned Ships:
Maximum Range: 20 light years without replenishment
Cost: $4 billion Skylord Dollars ($8 billion USD)
Auxiliary Aircraft:
The Centurion was the product of Skylord enthusiasm for space travel as well as fears of an inadequate defense fleet. Space Fleet wanted a starship capable of stealth raids and patrols around Skylord space capable of engaging opponents like a submarine, and Brony Aerospace jumped at the task. The vessel creates a warp bubble around itself when "submerged," and can maneuver at sublight with this bubble to fire torpedos that either exit the bubble through weak points or maintain their own until impact. While Centurion is a lightly-armed testbed boat designed as a proof-of-concept, her success so far has begun funding for the development of the Lysander-class attack submarines and Blackiron-class ballistic missile submarines. Currently they maintain the designation of "submarine," but "sub-space ship" might be more appropriate. As a testbed, Centurion has limited crew space and storage for fuel and provisions, thus leading to a small maximum range, but as she was never intended to be a formal warship unless as a last resort, this is of no concern. The Skylords are eagerly watching their allies and enemies to see how they react to the new development.

Have something to say?
you know, like, warp drive
Okay, so warp drives. Quite a development. Crap, now Alessia has to come up with some vacuum-capable warships.
Wait, not quite sure I get this... But spacesubs? That doesn't make any strategic sense unless they were capable of stealth. Unless the bubble are a stealth field, since it's implied they can be used at subspace speeds. Actually it's stated pretty clearly that;s how they work.
I'm a friggin idiot.
dw lol, happens to everyone ^-^
I do have to say it looks in my eyes far more suited to lay in the water than flying in the air as an airship. Just my opinion.
