I'd work on the head a bit, especially his snout, it's way too blocky at the moment D: I do like what you have going here, though.

If you see the nostrils as eyes it kind looks like a ._. smiley from the front. :D Interesting skin though, but I don't think you should have the head in the helmet layer.
