Hey Everybody! this is 2012commander here, and this is The Intrepid Detective from one of Markiplier's best masterpieces, Who Killed Markiplier!
not much is known about the detective, other than he knew Markiplier before the events of the story and that he might have the world record for most partners killed on duty. he has been monitoring Colonel Wilford Warfstache for some time, after he had an affair with Markiplier's wife, Celine. he gets invited to a poker night hosted by Markiplier. when Mark is killed, he suspects the Protagonist of being the killer, before Butler Tyler proves otherwise. he then hires the protagonist as a partner. he tasks the protagonist with hearing the other guests alibis, and while he/she is doing that, he gets harassed by Jim and Jim of Jim News. the protagonist returns to the detective in the midst of a gun standoff with Warfstache, and the two almost shoot each other when Celine arrives. Celine sits them down and discusses what to do next, and she senses that the protagonist plays an important role in all of this, and requests that they do a seance. the detective, who has lost many other partners, is reluctant to let his current one in harm, and rejects, and the others concur. when the protagonist sees someone in the images shown to him/her that he/she doesn't recognize, they abruptly leave the seance. by talking to Butler Tyler and The Chef, they identify him as the groundskeeper, George. the detective goes to interrogate George and preemptively convicts him of the murder. something goes wrong with Celine and Damien in the house, which is the one thing that would compel George to enter the cursed house, and the protagonist and George lock the door. they leave, but Celine(?) causes the protagonist to hallucinate and daze walk into the Detective's de facto office, where he/she finds drawings, typed paper, and newspaper clippings showing that the detective has been monitoring Warfstache and Celine for years. Warfstache enters the room and gets hostile about this. he confronts the Detective at gunpoint again, and this time the Detective takes it too far and accuses Warfstache of murder, which makes him shoot the detective. the protagonist struggles to take the gun from Warfstache, but gets shot in the process.
the Detective survives, however, and messages Warfstache that "if you hear this, you better run".
