Hermitcraft website

This pack uses some ETF/EMF exclusive features and therefore is not compatible with optifine!

This pack will give player skins from the Hermitcraft smp members. Vanilla villagers will still spawn from time to time.

Add-ons:

Keep track of what versions of my packs are compatible with wich addon version with this file: [with this link]

[Animations] With Semos Animations Lib the model will have Fresh Animations inspired animations.
[Capes] Hermit will randomly display their corresponding capes.
[Sounds] Hermits will shout random short phrase instead of the huuuum!
[Cosmetics] Let you use several cosmetics packs Warning! Can be heavy on performances
[Multi Semos Villagers pack] You like this one but also another of my villagers pack? You can mix them with the help of this addon. My other packs: [Songs Of War Villagers] and [Alex and Steve Villagers]

Custom Items (coming soon)
Musics (coming soon)
Modded support (coming soon)

Compatibility:

Villager professions and biome will render on my models but won't be affected by packs changing them. Those that add variations to those will not work properly on the vanilla models villagers. My pack will randomize 10 of their textures. To retain their full fonctionality you will need to edit their .properties texture files. you should copy the following at the top of those properties files:

modelSuffix.2=100-500
skins.2=1000
(And increments the suffixes accordingly) Those packs will also need to be on top of mine in the resource pack list!

Advanced Control:

You can control the texture by using a name tag. You can also toggle a nose and the second layer visibility.
The list of Custom names for each hermit is below. Use Nose and 2nd layer to toggle the later. Additionally, you can control the cape displayed if you use the cape add-on pack, the list is on the resource pack page.

The order in the custom name has no importance.

28 Update Logs

Update #28 : by Seb_Semos 06/27/2026 11:36:11 pmJune 28 @ 3:36 am UTC

    • Updated to 26.2
    • Fix some EMF new 'asm maths' issues
    • Added a variable that can be use to detect if another villager pack is loaded (boolean)
    • Changed the .properties in accordance to reflect this change and improve the mix of all my villager packs
    • Remove the default villager model chance to spawn
    • No longer compatible with other ressources pack that change biomes or jobs as it was reliing on an EMF issue (Praying to be able to bring that back)
    • Maybe some other changes... I have done all that last month or earlier and forgot half of it 🤣

No. Too many thing I rely on that optifine doesn't do...
EMF/ETF are client sided mods, you should be able to join the realm with them.

yes, I don't remember exactly. From memory it should work fine on any version before 1.21.2.

This will be updated to support latest version with some model changes and the new vanilla cit.

Level 1 : New Crafter
Hi there!

Any idea why it would only be replacing the heads of villagers instead of the whole body? It seems to try and put parts of the whole skin onto just the head. I can't think what would be conflicting.

Hello and thank you so much for this.

How hard is it to add more of our own skins to work with the renaming feature?

Not much it follow the classic optifine structure, Just place your textures in assets\minecraft\optifine\random\entity\villager Rename them villagerX
X beiing a number that is not already present in the pack
(by defaut I left the 8 for your skin, but you can put above 231 if you want to put more than one
Then you open the villager.properties with bloc note or whatever and add these lines:
skins.X=X
name.X=iregex:The Name you want

If you add the 8, I believe you have to put these line between 7 and 9

If you add above 231, you add them at the end of the list before the biomes distribution.

Don't forget to edit your texture files in the correct way :)
