Hello everybody,
This is the newest version of "The End is Extremely Nigh (TEiEN) - Vanilla", which was originally made by Santiago3, but we are the team that picked it up and converted it to be used with Minecraft version 1.19 and later.
About the pack:
TEiEN is a 32x32 stylized texture pack focused on the post-apocalyptic aspects of Minecraft, where the doomsday clock is at a minute to midnight and the end of the world as we know it is very very close. Most things have either been mutated or militarized and you have to be careful while hunting for lost gear in the unpredictable wild outside your shelter.
We are trying to convert every available texture eventually (blocks, items, entities, GUI, etc), but the updates and changes came a little fast recently, so we're lagging behind a bit. There's also connected textures, a few new models for blocks and entities and additional sounds/music.
About this pack (Vanilla friendly):
It was my aim to reuse as many of the original textures as possible, so there are around 300 textures by Santiago left and the rest has been added by all the people that have picked up the pack over the years, me included.
I'm not actually a pixel artist, so once I gain more experience I might change a few of the textures I added to mesh with Santiago's style better and improve on the Optifine features.
There's still a bunch of WIPs in there, but I hope they're serviceable for now and maybe you can give me some ideas for future updates?
Most of the colors fit the regular vanilla colors, but they tend to be heavily textured, de-saturated and pretty dark, so I'm not sure how they might alter the look of existing builds. Also I tried not to edit Santiago's existing textures too much, so emeralds come in red gas canisters for example. Let me know if you want me to make alternative versions and I'll see what I can do.
The use of Optifine is recommended but not required.

Well, this is a little hard to answer, since the texturepack is made up of the work of several people.
Santiago seemed to be fine with people using his stuff if they credited properly, not sure about the others that contributed over the years.
I personally don't like it if the texture used is specifically by me, because some of them are not as good as they could be and them being circulated outside my influence means that they would not receive an update if I were to improve on them.
So tentative Yes? With credits of course
