Welcome to the resource pack!

Not all the textures are shown here, there is over 500 and counting!

Please read all the instructions as well as the compatibility section below, as there are steps you must take to make the pack work. With the Optifine pack, its required that certain optifine settings be turned on manually. Some are shut off by default.



GearPlus allows you to re-skin your weapons, armor, elytra, shields and more without replacing the default textures, you can spawn in as many of them at a time as you like and there is a wide variety to choose from. Just use the crafting guides to re-skin them.



Some packs listed here are without custom modeled shields, this is for those who'd rather use the vanilla shield decorating mechanic, since my custom shields will disable it.

With the normal GearPlus pack, you must spawn in custom items using custom model data and the corresponding base item. All codes are listed in the guide. This is great for server developers and map makers.
Use the command /give @p minecraft:itemofchoosing{CustomModelData:codeofchoosing}

The packs below require the latest version of Optifine, since with it i can add a lot more features. All items are obtainable by renaming the corresponding base item on an anvil with its new textures name. All names are listed in the guide. This is great for single player and player-use on servers.
I will add an optifine pack for 1.15 when optifine releases a version for it.

This adds a custom loot table to a variety of mobs, they will drop weapons and items from the resource pack. Not all items are added, you will still need the crafting guides. For instructions on how to install, view at the bottom.

Invisible Item Frames
With this you can hide item frames, something you will find useful with decorations. Just activate it alongside your current packs.

(For Optifine Pack only)

Optifine is required in order to view the textures properly.
For the resource pack to work, certain settings must be turned on, after installing optifine. So head to options, then video settings…

Under Details…
turn on alternate blocks

Under Animations…
turn on terrain animated
turn on textures animated

Under Quality…
turn on custom items
turn on emissive texture



To install the data pack, first unzip the folder. Then go to your minecraft files and open the saves folder. Find the world you want to activate this in and open it. Place the pack under the datapacks folder.

Alternatively you can go to the main menu in your opened game and click single player. Then find your world and click edit, then click open world folder. When it opens, you will see the datapacks folder.

The Data Pack is compatible with servers, as long as the server has it activated.

Hi I was not able to command them in I do not use Optifine so I need to use the command version and I was not able to figure out what to do I tried to look it up but I had no luck. Is there any way I can get a video or just a tutorial Thanks

Because you said we should report any problems, here are some I found:

1) When blocking with a shield, they don't block and start to look weird afterward. I traced the problem: all the <shield>_blocking.json files have the shield.json file as a parent instead of shield_blocking.json.

2) Missing textures for the following items:
Iron sword - Gladius
Iron sword - Kukri
Iron sword - Ninjato
Iron sword - Ordon Sword
Wooden pickaxe - Terraforming Pickaxe (has terraforming hoe texture instead)
Wooden sword - Darknut Sword

P.S: this may not be my place, but I have some suggestions for making the pack more effective.
I'd be glad to share it with you - if you'd like :D

Named the diamond sword Excaliburn, see for yourself what happens. Also tried on optifine 1.14 pack on the optifine g1 pre-release10 and renaming some items won't work but still functional on others anyway. Lookin forward on whats the next updates are. Also when the shield is on the left arm it's just a 2D texture and when placed on the right arm it would be in 3D, tried it on the normal 1.15 and optifine 1.15 pre and the same things happens.

I'm attempting to make a fantasy adventure map using this fabulous texture pack, yet i can't seem to give myself a weapon with enchantments that exceed normal minecraft(e.g. sharpness 6) using commands. does anyone have any ideas?

Edit: just to clarify, i need to use minecraft 1.15 and i can't use the anvil to rename it. I have to use a command(and therein lies the problem).

Hey, I'm mhaving some problems with this pack. First of all, thanks for putting the work into this, it's a really great pack to have fun with. Now, my problem is that when I load the pack, it gives two messages in chat that read "OpenGL Error: 1282 (Invalid operation)". Nothing can be retextured by renaming at all, including names that do not require a specific enchantment. I have the latest optifine preview release, and just downloaded the latest version of this pack. Any idea how to fix this?

I'm not sure, I haven't changed anything since I released the 1.15 version and it was working fine then. I don't think I've ever gotten an open gl error after loading a texture pack either, that doesn't sound like it has to do with gearplus specifically. I would try another pack like itembound, if it gives you the same error then you know it's got something to do with your client or your PC. Also if your using the datapack on 1.15, I would remove it, I haven't tested that thoroughly yet.

Assuming you downloaded the optifine pack and not the other one, the only other problem I can think of is that you might be using a modded version of the game. Not all mods are compatible with the pack. Are you using forge or anything?

Nope. The only thing I have is Optifine, which I installed without Forge. My friend also has been having the exact same problem, so I don't think it's just me. He has a couple mods, but only stuff like Litmatica.

I was also having issues with Itembound. I tried them both together, then separately. Itembound was making the items too large when used at the same time as gearplus, and too small when used on it's own. It was only when I used them both together or just Gearplus by itself that I got the error. And yes, I am using the texturepack on the latest Optifine Preview for 1.15.2. Do you think that might be the problem? I figured it was ok to use since everything says gearplus works for 1.15. I'm testing it out right now because the owner of the server I play on is considering adding it soon, along with Itembound.

im a bit confused, ive had this pack for a while and i have the 1.12 version of it. i made sure the custom textures are on and i originally thought i was because of another pack i was using as well but that wasnt the case. does the 1.12 version not work anymore ??

I removed the 1.12 pack, I need to update it. But if you still have a copy then it should work fine for what it is, assuming you have optifine and aren't using another pack that effects the item models.

I got the pack to work with optifine just great and really enjoyed it, but when Im playing on 1.15 as there is no optifine the anvil doesn't work and I can't get the commands to work, could you reply with an example of one of the commands because I must be messing up. great pack btw, cheers.

The commands wont work with a pack made for optifine and anvil names wont work on the vanilla pack. Use the pack made for 1.15, it doesnt work with optifine yet because they havent updated. So use the command, heres an example giving you a diamond dagger /give @p minecraft:diamond_sword{CustomModelData:10000021}

(the invisible boot is there though)

Try to check the setting of the Optifine Menu in



Options >> Video Settings >> Quality / Quality Settings >> Custom Items: ON / OFF

Make sure that " Custom Items" is ON



My brother had the same issue and we couldn't figure out what the problem was.

It turned out that Optifine has the 'Custom Items' setting turned Off by default if installed in many Minecraft versions of the main Java launcher. We still don't know why it is like this but this solution worked for us.
