A better way to do unofficial trophy cases. When a community event ends, the event runner can send a 64x64 Trophy with a little blurb (the little bubble with a link to the contest page and description) to one, or multiple members. Then said member will be able to choose to accept the trophy or not. Trophies can be accepted or declined by the recipient. the trophy will be placed In a similar trophy case to the normal one.

  Only a member who has been on PMC for over a month and is at least level 5 can send trophies. This prevents people from making new accounts to spam, but 1 month is long enough for a new member who wants to run events to finish their first event just around the time they will have access to send trophies. Each member has a 5 trophy limit per month, keep in mind each one can be given to up to 50 people or up to 100 if they get to say, level 15. (You probably won't get a contest so big you give out more than 40 participation awards) 5 trophies is enough for trophies for most events, and I don't think many people do more than 1 event a month.

  Technical wise, I can see making this reality as an issue, there would need to be a way to send and accept trophies, and I know the PMC team is most likely more busy with the more important stuff, such as bigger skin sizes, other new features, etc. It's not something needed soon, but it would be a great addition to the site's community. If it takes a year or so to come to life, that's fine too. If it's something so unimportant that it can't be done ever, I suggest adding a way to add blurbs and the reflection thingy so that we can use it yourself.
