Hello!
Today I am doing a blog on the best and on the worst things in Minecraft. By things I mean items, mobs, blocks etc. This is another blog that is purely based on my opinion so NO hate comments.

Best
- Creeper- I know 99% of minecraft hate creepers and think they should be removed from the game permanently, but I strongly disagree with that 99%. I think that without creepers the game would never be the same. Think about it, removing the most famous mob in minecraft from minecraft, what message does that give to players?
- Diamond- A very useful block that is needed to make nether portals and enchanting tables, which can be pretty helpful. It is the most powerful item for weapons and tools, and does thing quickly. Has a nice shape.
- Iron- Like diamond iron can do things quickly and efficiently, not as good as diamonds but it does the job. It is needed to get diamonds and gold, diamonds being very important but gold not as much. Also very nice looking and shiny.
- Sheep- Although many people think that sheep are terrible and that they should drop meat, I do agree with the meat bit but they are still useful. They drop wool which can be important for survival. If you have no wool, you have no bed, meaning that you have to survive through nighttime when mobs spawn more often, plus if your house isn't fully secure it could mean death.

Worst
- Lapis- The lapis block could be classified as the most useless ore. It can do pretty much nothing but sit there and look good. It can dye things, but who wants to waste an ore dying things, seriously who wants to?
- Gold- Another ore that can do little. The only good things this ore can do is golden apples, it's tools freaking suck. Their were rumours going around that gold was better than diamond but ran out quicker. Obviously now with the 1.6 update we know that that rumour was false and that gold is worse than stone and the same as wood. The armour does nothing either, it's the same as leather which is probably better than gold because you can dye the armour.
- Beacons- These blocks were added in the 1.4 update. The block is terrible for survival because nobody would waste all those diamonds to make this. It's useless unless in creative.
- Sponge- Doesn't freaking do anything. Not available in survival and even in creative it does nothing.

Thanks for reading my blog on the best and worst things in minecraft. If you want something to be added leave a comment. If you liked FAVOURITE and DIAMOND! Also if you want more SUBSCRIBE and join the Smexicans!

In the upcoming 1.8 update, sponges will be obtainable in survival (killing the Elder Guardian drops wet sponges) and they will be able to suck up water again! (To get sponges, smelt wet sponges, which you can get by killing the Elder Guardian, which spawns in Ocean Temples.)

-beacon is not useful yes, it never helps! but still it could help you because if you have 1 heart and you put one near your home, it could help you a lot, also beacons don't need diamonds, you know that if you make an ore tower for it if you use iron it would have the same effects if you use diamond for it, there is no need for diamonds there
-gold actually IS better than diamond in 1 way, velocity. Gold is faster than diamond, mine a stone with diamond and then with gold, you will see that gold is a little bit faster, yes, it has less uses than wood, but it can help you when you need to mine very fast something in an emergency, for example if there is a creeper near you in a cave if you use iron it wouldn't help so much and the creeper might get you but if you use gold since it is faster than diamond you might go very fast and destroy some stone and hide, it can help you that way, but in number of uses, no

I used to think that beacon wasn't uselful too, then I look a video of Sethbling explaining an idea of Etho. He was using a beacon(supported by iron and gold) at Y=12 with haste II and a diamond pick with efficiency V. He cleared out everything in the effect's radius of the beacon pretty quickly and had found a lot of diamonds (more than he used on his picks), iron, redstone and gold.
But I know it's lot of work to get a beacon and its effects aren't really worth it. But I think it's a symbol of prosperity and they are there to make the life of ''veterans'' more easy at some stage. This is my opinion :P

You can use iron, emerald, gold, or diamond to power a beacon, and give yourself permanent potion effects.Gold is also very useful for redstone-ing.Just like in real life,it's mainly used in technology. And sheep are ABSOLUTELY freaking awful! They just sit there and eat grass. And,since string can make wool, they're pretty much useless.
