    This data pack aims to make Minecraft's boss fights more interesting for players


    Ender Dragon Boss Fight

    Phase 0

    This is the start of the boss fight. The dragon is at full health and all the pillars have their end crystals. In this phase, the dragon is immune to all damage.

    Phase 1

    After destroying 6 end crystals, the dragon transitions into phase 1. The dragon is no longer immune, but in this phase will never perch on the exit portal.

    Phase 2

    When the dragon reaches 75% health, it enters stage 2. The dragon will now perch on the exit portal but every 30 seconds, a few enderman will get angry at you.

    Phase 3

    When the dragon reaches 50% health, it enters stage 3. The dragon will unleash its wrath on you. It will rain fireballs upon you, with one dropping every second and large batches of 10 fireballs dropping every 30 seconds.

    Phase 4


    This is the final phase. The dragon has reached 25% health and will do everything in its power to avoid death. It will summon a group of phantoms for protection (the number of phantoms spawned will depend on the number of players fighting). The miniboss of phantoms will grant the ender dragon resistance as long as they are alive.

    Changes
    • Boss phases are now divided based on the dragon's max health rather than being hardcoded values
    • Increased volume of the audio queue for phase changes

    Fixes
    • Boss transitions to phase 5 (dead phase) when no players are in the end
    • Boss transitions to phase 5 when perching at phase 4

    can u make a new attack that will make the dragon charges at you at phase 3 and 4 then it tries to fly away to where it was

    I have a few bugs:
    • the phantoms all died but the miniboss bar was still there (I had to restart the end fight, luckilly another mod allowed me to do that)
    • after killing the dragon there were still fireballs coming from the sky and endermen getting angry at me, kinda sucked

    I was using the following end mods:
    • Yung's better end island (the only one that also alters the boss fight, but it really doesn't)
    • Yung's better strongholds
    • End remastered
    • Nullscape

    Sorry about your bad experience, I came across both of those bugs before and I thought I fixed them, but I'll look into it again.

    The Ender Dragon will immediately starts off at Phase 4 once you resurrect it from the dead. So Good luck whoever resurrects the Ender Dragon with the Data Pack on. Edit: don't fix the phases of the Ender Dragon whenever it got resurrected and it was immediately on Phase 4 with Full Health and intact crystals, it makes the resurrected Ender Dragon a bit more challenging.

    Suggestion for the Dragon fight: In one of the phases phantoms start spawning.
