    Builder's Wands


    Similar to the "Better Builder's Wands mod", but purely in Vanilla Minecraft. Works in Survival and Creative Mode. Multiplayer compatible. Versions 1.21.9 to 1.21.11

    It comes in 5 tiers with increasing durability and max blocks they can set:

    1. Stone Builder's Wand: Durability 130 Blocks, 5 Blocks at once.
    2. Iron Builder's Wand: Durability 250 Blocks, 9 Blocks at once.
    3. Diamond Builder's Wand: Durability 1561, 129 Blocks at once.
    4. Netherite Builder's Wand: Durability for 2031 Blocks, 266 Blocks at once.
    5. Unbreakable Builder's Wand: Durability for ∞ Blocks, 1025 Blocks at once.

    The Wand are now enchantable with Unbreaking and Mending and have a durability bar like any item in Minecraft would have it.

    Installation
    1. Download the datapack
    2. Put the downloaded file inside the datapacks folder of your world folder.
    3. /reload if the world was open or restart your server (Operator-level required)
    4. Download Resource Pack and activate it (Otherwise the items won't display correctly in the inventory)



    Crafting Recipe

    To obtain a Builder's Wand you need to use 1 stick, 1 string and one of these Materials: 1 stone, 1 Iron Ingot, 1 Diamond, 1 netherite ingot or 1 Nether Star. You put the stick and the string diagonally into a crafting bench, and the material in the top right. You will need to have the resource pack installed for the output to show a wand.


    Using It

    When the player holds a wand in the mainhand it projects particles onto any surface the player is looking at. Based on the mode particles will show the position of where blocks could be placed.

    The Wand has different modes: line/area/all-in-one.
    You can choose these modes by switching the wand from your mainhand into your offhand. You need an empty offhand for this. Standard key for that is f.

    Then a chat message appears in which you have several clickable options highlighted in yellow inside the square brackets.
    You can choose between 3 line modes and 3 area modes and 3 dynamic modes ([​Line Mode only] / [​Area Mode only] / [​All in one]).

    These dynamic modes incorporate the players rotation when placing blocks. in the all-in-one Mode the available space at the block you're looking at is taken into account as well.

    The new sulfur and cinnabar blocks are placeable now.
    Fixed a bug where Bamboo wouldn't place sometime.
