WARNING!!!
Due to optimization between pack versions 0.1a and 0.2a of the datapack, they are not compatible!
they will still exist in your world and you can place any items that you already have but they will not be washable in a cauldron and when broken they will not drop an item (they break they gone)

Any item crafted in v0.2a will fully work, but anything made in v0.1a can be placed but can not be retrieved

This might occur again in a future update for cross pack compatibility reasons, another warning will be expressed when the time comes. Thank you for all your interest in this pack as it is going through these major changes!

(Due to no update accruing for the texter pack it will still be set to v0.1a but it will work with both versions of the datapack)

Ever wanted more color options in your Minecraft builds? then this pack is for you.

Using the libraries from the Smithed datapacking community I bring to you the 16 Minecraft dyes for each type of wood adding a little more color to the game.

This pack is simple to use all you need is:
  • Add the datapack to your world,
  • Enable the texter pack,
  • Craft the Smithed Heavy Workbench, and
  • Surround a color of dye with your desired wood type

This pack is 100% survival mode friendly, simply treat the new blocks as normal wood!
The woods added to this pack only constitute FULL BLOCKS including:
  1. Planks
  2. Logs
  3. Stripped Logs
  4. Woods
  5. Stripped Woods
of the 11 wood types
  1. Acacia
  2. Bamboo
  3. Birch
  4. Cherry
  5. Crimson
  6. Dark Oak
  7. Jungle
  8. Mangrove
  9. Oak
  10. Spruce
  11. Warped
(See pictures for some examples)

NEW (v0.2a)
To get your wood back all you have to do is uncolore it!
throw your colored wood into a cauldron filled with any amount of water and POP you have your washed wood!
(Wood is reversible at the loss of the dye used to color it)

this was made and tested in 1.20.1
(Future features will include better texters and the log and stripped logs having directional support)

Past version of the pack can be found in the Releases section of this pack's GitHub

You will have to clarify your question a bit more. If you want to remove the "nonexistent" block that is there you can run this command when standing near it
/kill @e[type=item_display, limit=1, sort=nearest]

I think that should work, use the auto-complete inside Minecraft instead of copy/paste to help if I got something wrong.

I am currently working on a 1.20.5 one, when I have that out I will look at getting a 20.4 release for you. This may take a bit but I will put it on my to do list! Thanks for the comment

Will this apply for Stairs and Slabs as well as Doors, Trapdoors, Buttons, Pressure Plates, Boats, Bookshelves, Fences and Fencegates?

No unfortunately. Full blocks only have one state that it can be in, now it might be possible to detect if a block is in a different state but it would take a lot of work.

Doors, trapdoors, and fencegates would all have an open or closed state. (trapdoor and fencegates have a little more to them as well)

For buttons, you would need to determine on what part of a block it is placed on and determine if it's been pressed.

For fences, you would need to detect if there is a block or fence adjacent to it thus changing the texture based on which direction the block next to it sits.

Slabs can be placed on the upper or underside of a block. Stairs have to know if a stair is next to it and they have an upside-down variant.

Boats I have a suspicion but don't actually know what could be done.

Bookshelves and pressure plates would likely be the easiest to deal with.

In conclusion, it is not included in this pack, but it is probably possible to do, I might give it a try when I am in the mood for a challenge.

I hope this answers your question, thanks for asking, and sorry for the rant I'm just expressing my thought process
