From laser turrets to force fields, Lockdown adds security-themed blocks/items to secure your base against intruders!

    Features:

    Wireless Redstone:
Several of these devices operate through wireless redstone (such as the keycard scanner). Use the redstone receiver/redstone transmitter to pick up or send out these invisible signals.

    Work Stations:
    • Secure Crafting Table:
Used to craft all of the devices in the data pack.
Crafted in a regular crafting table—see the vanilla recipe book.

    • Secure Recipe Book:
Used to look up crafting recipes for the Secure Crafting Table.
Crafted in a regular crafting table—see the vanilla recipe book.

    • Encoding Station:
Assigns a code to any encodable device. The device of choice is placed in the top slot, while three dye representing the code go in the bottom row.

    Security:
    • Keycard reader:
Detects players holding a keycard with the same code as itself within a five block radius.
When this occurs, it outputs a wireless signal to any receiver on the same channel.
Assign a code/channel using the Encoding Station.

    • Laser Projector:
When powered, it emits a short-range laser that damages mobs that touch it.

    • Alarm Lights:
Emits a rotating glow when it detects a wireless signal from a device on the same channel.
Assign a channel using the Encoding Station.

    • Klaxon:
Plays an alarm sound-effect when powered.
Right click the block to cycle between available alarms.

    • Force Field Projector
Projects an indestructible force field when powered.
Right click the block to cycle between different force field sizes, ranging from 1x1 to 5x5.

    Defense:
    • Defense turret:
Fires a laser beam at any hostile mob it detects within a ten block radius.
Will not attack players by default. However, when assigned a code, it will attack any player whose last held keycard does not match.
Optionally assign a code using the Encoding Station

    • Defense drone:
Pursues any hostile mob it detects within a fifteen block radius, with a laser beam range of five blocks.
Will not attack players by default. However, when assigned a code, it will attack any player whose last held keycard does not match.
Optionally assign a code using the Encoding Station

    Redstone:
    • Wireless Transmitter:
When powered, it outputs a wireless signal to any receiver on the same channel.
Assign a channel using the Encoding Station.

    • Wireless Receiver:
Outputs a redstone signal when it detects a wireless signal from a device on the same channel.
Assign a channel using the Encoding Station.

    • Player Detector:
Outputs a redstone signal when it detects a player within a five-block radius.

    • Mob Detector:
Outputs a redstone signal when it detects a mob within a five-block radius.

    • Big Buttons:
Similar to a regular button, except more imposing!
When pressed, it outputs a wireless signal to any receiver on the same channel.
Assign a channel using the Encoding Station.

I don't know if that's possible for you, but you should make the laser should travel longer distance.

Or you can change it into a flamethrower, due to it's 5-6 blocks radius AND it strangely requires fire charge.

The keycard scanner isn't technically intended to work by clicking it—it instead outputs a wireless signal whenever someone holding the keycard is nearby.
The keycard scanner being clickable at all is the result of a bug that I hadn't come up with a solid fix for, so I left it in as an "unintended feature."

Hey, so I noticed that with the wireless redstone receiver, is that it's not "toggle-able". As in, once a receiver gets any sort of redstone signal, whether it be from normal redstone, a transmitter or an activated key card reader, it stays on permanently.

In my specific situation, I'm trying to create a sticky piston door utilizing the player detector block, but I don't want it to be usable unless you have the key card reader activated with a card. So what I did, was place the detector block underneath the floor, near the door, hook it up to a transmitter, then have receivers hooked up to the sticky pistons. Once activated though, the door stays open permanently. I want it so it'll only open once the player gets close enough.

P.S.; I've already figured out a work-around as I'm writing this, but having the receivers be toggle-able/only activate if their respective transmitters are powered would be fantastic, and make the redstone much simpler.

By "it stays on permanently," do you mean that the redstone receiver loses the ability to turn off, regardless of input? If so, this sounds like a bug—one that I've been unable to reproduce.
Either way, could you elaborate on your setup?

So with what I've looked at, this seems to strangely only affect the "blue channel". Any redstone receiver that gets activated, while assigned to the blue channel, permanently stay on, but others seem to not be affected by this (only tested with black, yellow, red, and blue).

I'll provided a picture example of this. Also keep in mind, that I am in 1.16.2, but that doesn't seem to affect the outcome.

That's bizarre... Unfortunately, I still can't seem to reproduce the issue.
Is it possible there's some sort of data pack conflict?

Potentially. The only other pack I'm using that might potentially conflict is the Warp Portals datapack, but that doesn't make any changes/add redstone mechanics as far as I know.

The datapacks I'm using at the time of this bug were:

    Warp Portals

    Lockdown

    Custom Nether Portals

    Lost Souls

All the recipes should be viewable through the secure recipe book (the book's own recipe can be found in the advancements menu). However, if the issue is that the book keeps disappearing while you're in survival, make sure you have the latest version of the data pack (R1.2).

If absolutely all else fails, you can use these commands to summon in the items:
    /function lockdown:give/alarms
    /function lockdown:give/blocks
    /function lockdown:give/buttons
    /function lockdown:give/devices

No I still can't use them! The recipe book vanished when I right clicked it, the secure crafting table transformed into gray glazed terracotta. Even the turret turns into birch button the second I placed it.

I really wanted to use it functionally in survival, otherwise I'd have built my house for nothing =(

Strange... it seems to be working on my end.
Perhaps try redownloading the data pack, making sure you've removed the older one from the data packs folder? I realize that's not much, but I'm afraid I'm unable to recreate the problem beyond that.

Hello! Everything seemed to be working well until I started to try and spawn everything in. In my inventory everything looked right, but when I would try and place things down or use them they just spawned in mobs from the eggs that you turned into pieces of the data pack. I'm new to data packs, so I'm wondering if I some how screwed up or if it is an issue with the data pack. If you are wondering, yes, I installed the resource pack as well. Please help me out I'm so confused....

The datapack is supposed to replace those items with a functional version. A few things to check:
    • Did you receive a welcome message in the chat when you first loaded the data pack? If not, then it failed to load—in which case double check that it's in the correct location.
    • Make sure you're playing in 1.16 or newer, as that is the version it was made for.
    • Did you craft the secure crafting table/book, or did you obtain it from the creative inventory? The datapack only replaces the items if you craft them (otherwise the spawn eggs would be unusable).
    • If none of these are the issue, keep the launcher output open and let me know if any errors pop up when you load the world. It'll likely say something like "failed to load function/advancement/etc."

    Hopefully this helps!
