How to install Minecraft Data Packs

This Data Pack adds a lot new Arrows. Like TNT Arrow, Teleport Arrow and so on.

It also changes the way to craft Tipped Arrows. Now the crafting for them works like the crafting for the new Arrows. You need to drop a normal Potion or a Splash Potion on a Fletching Table and shoot it with a Bow.


Crafting

More Arrows Minecraft Data Pack

Drop the matching item, which you can see in the table underneath in the Arrow spoiler, on a Fletching Table and shoot the item with a Bow or Crossbow. (You can't use an Infinity Bow and you need to be in survival or adventure mode)


If you have OP or cheats enabled you can get all Arrows with the following command:
/function more_arrows:give
If you want to craft the arrows in the Crafting Table instead of on the Fletching Table, you can additionally install the following pack:
(If the normal pack slows down your server, you can try this addon as it uses less resources)

Settings
Disable crafting Tipped Arrows with normal Potions.
/scoreboard players set #potion more_arrows 1
Disable crafting Tipped Arrows with Splash Potions.
/scoreboard players set #splash_potion more_arrows 1
Disable Arrows. Replace #id with the id of the according Arrow from the table bellow.
/scoreboard players set #id more_arrows 1To enable the Setting again you need to execute the same Command except of the 1 replace with a 0.

Datapack probably needs more optimization, when applied to my paper server TPS suddenly starts to drop. Dont know if it has to do with the ammount of entities related to the creation of each arrow.

The data pack doesnt create a lot of new entities. Have you tried to use the Craft Addon? This should optimize the pack, since the drop crafting isn't very resource friendly.
All the other things of the pack shouldn't cause a lot of lags if you dont have millions of other entities in your world.

i think a custom crafting table would be better than the item drop crafting method bc the item drop method is very inefficient. i made a working fletching table if that would help. ill have to do some bugfixing first tho.

I know that under some circumstances this method can cause lags. This is why I created an Addon which disables the drop crafting and adds them as normal recipes to the crafting table. Can be found under the Crafting Spoiler. But for my testing I didn't have any problems with it, so I left the drop crafting as default.

Anyway, I look forward to see what you do with the fletching table.

And what would it do? If it just sets the player on fire, I won't add it, because its to similar to the flame enchantment. But for everything else I would love to hear your idea.
