This update is aiming at improving compatibility with other datapack by following the datapack conventions. I recommend you download the new version if you plan on using other datapacks along this one. If you already have the previous datapack version installed, don't forget to une the "/function nether_start:uninstall" command before you disable it and enable the new one.
The only thing this datapack does is transfering the world spawn to the nether.
The vanilla game doesn't allow to put the actual world spawn in the nether. For that, the datapack will teleport you immediatly to the nether when you respawn and do not have a personal spawnpoint.
The overworld is still available through portals like usual. Escaping the nether may be the challenge you want to set when starting your world.
Setting your spawn in the overworld by sleeping in a bed works as usual.
The command "/function nether_start:setworldspawn" allows you to change the world spawn to your current position.
Due to the scaling between the overworld and the nether, the vanilla "/setworldspawn" will set the world spawn to incorrect coordinates. This is why this function is needed.
Installation :
Add the datapack to your world in the world creation menu. (or put it it in your world folder afterwards and use the "/reload" command), the datapack does the rest.
Known issues :
The spawn chunks aren't permaloaded like the one in the overworld. It may be possible to change that but I don't know what the benifits of it would be and the impact it would have on performances. If people ask for it and more technical players are willing to give me some advice on that, I may consider it changing it.
Have fun on this challenge ! Please give me feedbacks, for example if you experience some issues or just enjoy it !

You may want stop your server while you are doing those manipulation depending on your server host.
Most popular hosts let you directly interact with the server folders, it's very handy.
In there, you should find a folder with the name of your world.
There, it's pretty much exactly the same thing than that of a singleplayer world folder.
Just upload the datapack file in the "datapacks" folder and you're ready to go!
You may just need to use the /reload command if the server is online when you do all of this but it should be right.
I'm not certain this is 100% correct so maybe you can look it up on Youtube,. There seem to be a lot of different tutorials for a whole bunch of different servers so you will definitely find your answers there!
