this datapack allows you to invite wandering trader's to join a village. to achieve this throw a block of emerald at a trader while they are in a village. as they wander around interacting with the locals hopefully they will come to love the place. when this happens they will setup as a retired explorer, keeping their previous inventory. Traders that encounter dangers in the village are unlikely to take you up on your invitation.

Cool idea! Do they not run out of they trades and Despawn like they usually do?

they get a persistence tag when they get the the block of emerald. the resulting villager is summoned with the persistence tag as well. they loose persistence if they fail to join. they also keep the emerald block.

I've been wanting something like this since they were added.

I don't suppose you can make Zombie Piglins able to be healed like Zombie Villagers, and then after that they have immunity and don't turn in the Overworld, therefore also being able to join villages?
