    what is artist gallery?
    artist gallery is a contest where each participant is assigned a famous painting or artwork, and much make a player skin inspired by their assigned piece! each contest is called a 'gallery' and you can see each gallery's collection on our profile page!
    how do i sign up?
    sign-ups will be posted on the main page as well as a wallpost following the ending of each gallery. these sign-ups will be in the form of a google form, and you can follow the link to sign up! look out for the sign-up links on our page or a wallpost!
    are there prizes?
    yes ! each gallery will have a set of different prizes all ranging from full skin requests, illustrations, and other types of art related prizes. in addition to that, future galleries will have a participation trophy for your community trophy case ! ♥
    can i be a judge?
    judge applications will always be available on our page ! you don't need to have past judge experience, however it is helpful to your application that you have judged contest(s) in the past ! please visit our main group page or ask in our guest book for the google form link to apply !
    are hd skins allowed?
    currently, hd skins are NOT allowed in this contest ! this makes it more fair for all skill levels, however, we may allow hd skins in future galleries. if that's the case, we will be sure to leave a notice on our page !
    can i join the group?
    only past artist gallery participants can join the group ! they can join the group under 'gallery painter'. if you are a past participant in any of the galleries, feel free to ask us if you can join the group !

      due to irl events and june coming up fast, artist gallery will be on hold ! i super apologize to anyone that has signed up and been waiting for gallery #2, unfortunately some sudden stuff happened irl, as well as june being a very busy time for pmc users with skinfight, pride month, and things like that. however, gallery 2 will be returning after june ! i want to thank everyone for their patience as i try my best to get this contest going !

      in the mean time, i am allowing signups again ! i realize that we didn't get as many signups as i had hoped, so i will be opening signups until the end of june ♥ feel free to ask to sign up on this wallpost or on the official gallery 2 forum thread !

      something was brought to mind from a question i got in regards to signups ! i understand that it might seem weird signing up with the google form, so from this point filling out the form is OPTIONAL. if you wish to be signed up for the newsletter however, then you must fill out the form. but for just signing up, feel free to leave a comment on the form thread for gallery 2 instead ! ♥ i do encourage the use of the form, as it makes it slightly easier for me, but i understand if you don't want to fill it out ! btw, the form DOES NOT collect emails !

      i'd also like to thank anyone that has asked questions or gave feedback about the event so far ! this thing is really new to me, so i hope to improve and learn for your guys' questions and comments ! ♥

    for more information on this event, please visit the group dedicated to the contest ♥

    just as a recap, please look through the spoilers below to learn about the contest and how to enter !

    what is artist gallery ?
    artist gallery is a contest in which the participant is randomly assigned a famous painting or artwork from the past, and must make a skin inspired or based off of said art

    as an example ;

    say i entered and got assigned the painting "the starry night" by vincent van gogh. i would then create a skin based off of the painting !

    creativity is key to this contest ! i want to see a lot of fun, creative, and wonderful skins come out of this c:



    rules ;
    all normally pmc rules and guidelines for posting must be followed
    the entry must be based off of/inspired by the assigned artwork you get
    original and new work ! skins you have previously made will not count
    be kind to all the participants
    be creative !
    have fun ♥

    ! failure to follow the rules above will result in disqualification !



    judging criteria
    judges ;
    will be announced after signups are over !

    entries will be judged based off of ...
    creativity
    how well the skin follows the prompt
    technique

    ! remember to be sure that your skin relates to your assigned painting !

    contest timeline
    5/7-5/14
    signups week ! signups will close on the 14th at the end of the day

    5/14-5/16
    paintings are assigned to each participant
    (not sure what painting you were assigned? take a look at the participant's table below ! find your username, and then look next to it to find the painting you were assigned)

    5/17
    official start date of the contest ! entries can now be entered !

    !DEADLINE!
    the last day that you can submit your entries will be JUNE 17th !

    any skins submitted after that date will not count !

    judging will start the day after the deadline (18th). please give us time to judge ! it may take a couple weeks to finish judging depending on the amount of entries we get !
