    Create a captain with character
    Who could explore the deep-sea in a submarine, steer a vessel through a turbulent ocean, navigate storms on an air-ship or plot a course in outer space? You can make any type of Captain, so long as they can command a vessel.

    Acquire a Ship to score bonus points!
    This contest is the counterpart to the A Ship and its Captain Build contest. You can build a ship or team up with another creator to make a winning Captain & Ship combo!

    Can I enter without a Ship?
    Yes! You are absolutely welcome to enter a submission, even when you don't have a Ship. It only means that you cannot score bonus points for the combo.
    Can I make a real-world Captain or a Captain from popular media?
    Yes! You're welcome to base your Captain on a real-world Captain or a Captain from your favorite popular media. Please note that this will impact your Originality score.
    How do I come by a Ship?
    You can do two things:
    • Build a Ship for your Captain to command.
    • Team up with a Builder and come up with a Ship + Captain combo together!
    Once your Ship is present, be sure to include a link to the Ship on your submission page. Please note that only Ships entered in the A Ship and its Captain contest are eligible for the bonus points.
    What qualifies as a Captain?
    Must be a character who has the role to command and be in charge of a vessel and its crew. They can be a human, animal, supernatural, alien or... get creative!
    Can I edit my skin after submitting?
    You can edit your submission until the due-date on December 8. When the review period starts, we expect no further changes until the results are out.
