    This contest is the counterpart to the A Captain and their Ship Skin contest. You can make a skin or team up with another creator to make a winning Captain & Ship combo!

  • FAQs

    What qualifies as a Ship?
    Must be a vessel that can be commanded/taken charge of by a Captain and that has space for at least the captain and one crew-mate. It must be designed with the ability to move (in spirit, not actually move in-game). Movement can be through water, the sky, space, the earth, a wormhole... or anything else you can imagine! We don't require a classic shape. You can opt to build a ship that has seen things... meaning: it could be sunken, windswept, crashed, glitched in space-time? Get creative!
    How do I come by a Captain?
    You can do two things:
    Once your Captain is present, be sure to include a link to the Captain on your submission page. Please note that only Captains that are a submission in the A Captain and their Ship contest are eligible for the bonus points.
    Can I enter without a Captain?
    Yes! You are absolutely welcome to enter a submission, even when you don't have a Captain. It only means that you cannot score bonus points for the combo.
    Can I build a real-world Ship or a Ship from popular media?
    Yes! You're welcome to base your build on a real-world Ship or a Ship from your favorite popular media. Be it for inspiration, or a replica entirely. Please note that this will impact your Originality score.
    Can I edit my build after submitting?
    You can edit your submission until the due-date on December 8. When the review period starts, we expect no further changes until the results are out.
    Can we work together on the Ship?
    Yes! You can collaborate with a friend/crewmate on building the Ship. But only one account/member can submit it to compete. Ideally you work as a duo! We won't mind if you get help from another friend or two. But we want to keep the contest competitive and accessible, so don't assemble a big team!
    Must I include a download?
    Preferably, but it is not mandatory. Do make sure to include plenty of clear images of your build from different angles, so the judges can get a good view!
