Map : The great aztec city of Tesolpan

Tesolpan at the sunset, at these hours of the day people usually stop labouring and start their breaks, they'll later eat something and sleep to start another day tomorrow.

Palace of the emperor Chicuacecoyotl, or 6 coyote in nahuatl language. Its intended to host at least 85 people, between diplomats and people serving to the emperor, the palace is still a work in progress...

The great amoxcalli of Tesolpan, and to its left, the emperors zoo, an amoxcalli was the mesoamerican equivalent of a library, and the codex were the book equivalents, the amoxcalli of Tesolpan hosts around 500 codex from all the empire.

The river of Tesolpan, to the left theres a canoe that merchants used to transport all its goods in the city, and to the right theres the house of the canoes, the place designated to manufacture canoes for the commerce.

The entrance to the city is custodiated by guards that usually reside in two watchtowers made of limestone and with tatched roofs, this is a strategical point as no one can exit via the river without stopping here.

The sacred precint of Tesolpan, a place designated to give cult to their gods, the temple of the rain and the Calmecac are waiting to be actualized.

This is the calmecac, or noblemen school, it was inside the sacred precint and here were educated the sons of wealthy noblemen, they were taught to be military, political and religious leaders, among other complicated skills.

This is the pyramid of Quetzalcoatl, another important building in the precint, this is were the god Quetzalcoatl or the feathered snake, was given cult to, it was a god that not only was present in aztec culture, it was in almost all mesoamerican culture

The twin temples of Coatlicue and Xochiquetzal, at the left, the temple of Coatlicue, who was the mother of all gods in aztec mythology, and to the right, Xochiquetzal who was the godess of flowers, beauty and fertility.

In Tesolpan there are different districts or calpullis, this one is the calpulli of the farmers and miners.

This is the artisans calpulli, the last district in the city, here were manufactured all kinds of things, from ceramic and textiles, to feather shields and bows.
