    hi! :D

    the minecraft series i follow, called Arkanis (an independent series), is running a campaign to raise money to make a second season. It's an all-or-nothing campaign, meaning that either the goal is reached or all the money raised will be returned.

    the campaign ends in 7 days, and so far only 47% of the goal has been raised. :( There's still 44,905.4259 USD left to reach the goal

    i would like to invite you to discover a brazilian minecraft rp series: Arkanis!

    recently there was a spin-off of the series (called ''A Passagem'') which was attended by several players (not just brazilians!)

    in the first season, Arkanis takes place in Valigma, a city on the brink of collapse. Mayor Jota fights to restore the city, but secrets and conflicts emerge that change everthing. the stakes are high and the mysteries run deep!

    to continue the journey, crowdfunding was created with the aim of raising R$500k (about US$93k), where depending on the amount donated there are different rewards. It has already been possible to raise R$66,664.

    Hi PMC,

    We typically avoid discussing sensitive situations publicly, but the recent case between an off-site group and member has understandably caused significant confusion, frustration, and disappointment regarding the incident itself and how it was handled by all parties involved. Given the timing and complexity of the case, careful consideration was necessary to investigate and determine the appropriate response. While I genuinely empathize with everyone involved, I am also disappointed with how the situation was managed.

    Brief of the incident
    Late last week, a private situation became public when a targeted member posted about a group of members investigating them for various serious allegations. The targeted member views themselves as the victim, while some members of the group also see themselves as victims. The group was on a third party platform and investigation conducted in private there. When information from this group leaked, the target decided to post about it publicly on our platform. Understandably, this has left many members feeling confused, frustrated, and upset having heard one side of the story. In addition, we were blamed for not doing more.

    Could it be prevented?
    In general, our policy is to consider but not moderate based on unverifiable third-party activities. This can be frustrating for both the reporter and us. We always review and consider the evidence, but we must remember that things can be taken out of context, manipulated, or even fabricated. In these cases, we recommend reporting the activity to the third-party platform where it can be verified and necessary actions taken. If we can correlate or link the reported activity to what is happening on our platform, we will consider taking further action here. However, if there's nothing to support the activity on our platform, it is difficult to justify taking action. In this particular case, while we could verify that a group existed on a third-party platform, we were unable to see their discussions, and it didn't feel right to assume it was malicious rather than existing for valid reasons. Ultimately, what they discussed in private was beyond our control.

    What can we do to help prevent similar situations from happening?
    This is a one of a kind incident for us in the past 14 years and we'll learn from it. This incident has been challenging for everyone involved, highlighting the need for more information on how to properly report, prevent and address conflicts within our community. While we stand by our policy of not moderating based on unverifiable third-party activities, we recognize that more can be done to support all parties involved and to maintain trust within the community.

    Moving forward, we are committed to improving our guidelines, support systems, and moderation practices to ensure that incidents like this are handled more effectively. We are always open to suggestions on how to improve. We deeply regret the confusion, frustration, and disappointment that this situation has caused, and we appreciate the community's patience as we work to learn from this experience and make necessary changes. Our goal is to create a safe, supportive environment for everyone, and we are dedicated to doing better in the future.

    We concluded our own investigation on information available and have taken actions that we deem to be appropriate at this time.

    Echoing Silabear's post, please do not hesitate to message a staff member if you have any concerns whatsoever about anything. It could be an uncomfortable feeling you get from another member, worries that someone you know is being mistreated, or the belief that prior communications with the staff were ineffective or unfair. We listen to each and every message we receive, and if possible, we try to help. If we can't, we can direct you to someone who can.

    To that end, every single member of our team is an individual with a different background and their own strengths and weaknesses. Some of us are super good at finding the proverbial needle in a haystack when it comes to tracing stolen content, other members of our team are really, really good at listening and offering guidance if you're feeling crappy that day. If you message one of us and don't receive satisfactory help, consider messaging a different, potentially higher-ranked staff member.

    We want to help you. It's our responsibility to do that. This is our community to be proud of. I don't want anyone to feel as if they can't trust the people on our team.

    But please -- help us help you. We can't act on things we don't know about. We need your reports and for you to voice your concerns to us if something feels off. We do not -- and cannot -- have the ability to have eyes on everything all at once. If you have evidence of someone trying to hurt you or other members of the community, please bring it to us.

    Lastly, understand that there are ways to protect yourself. Like Silabear pointed out -- the block function is a powerful tool that can and should be used to undermine other users' attempts to hurt you. You are encouraged to use the block function in conjunction with the report function. If you feel that the problem extends beyond PMC or is of a particularly serious nature, be aware of your right to contact relevant law enforcement.

    My sympathies go out to anyone who has been negatively affected by recent events. It's a bad situation for everyone involved and should not have happened in the first place.

    After recent events have happened on this site, I want to emphasise how important it is to speak to a trusted staff member if you have any concerns about what any user might be doing to harm you/others.I am really upset to see how the actions of certain users have affected this community so much that valued long-term members have been forced into leaving the site.

    Blocking users exists for a reason - you have every right to block people who are attacking or harming you. If someone tries to take that right away from you, tell us - this is a form of harassment and is not tolerated.

    If people are spreading disinformation about you (I say disinformation and not misinformation - this is referring to if it’s intentional) to make you seem like a bad person, this is illegal. Nobody deserves false rumours being spread about them. Please tell us before it gets worse and If it’s harming you in real life, you have the right to get law enforcement involved.

    Sometimes it’s really easy for things to get lost in tickets or reports, which is why I encourage you to message a staff member for bigger cases. You can message any staff member on-site or on Discord,

    I’m sorry to see the growing lack of trust in our staff team. We try our best to address every concern in as much detail as we can, but we could not do this without you telling us about what happens. As much as we try to monitor every area of the site, for stuff that happens in private (or just things we miss) we rely on your reports to us so we can deal with it properly. You will never be punished for reporting something and you will remain anonymous to the public.

    To the members affected by recent events: I’m sorry that your time on this site has had to end like this. I’m sorry that you had to go through this alone. I’m sorry about the lack of action we could have taken, and not prioritising it enough. Had we been given more information, I am sure something could have been done, and the the lack of information is evidently due to not enough trust being placed in the staff team. It’s nice to see the community try to deal with it themselves, but the staff team are here for a reason.

    Today is the 4th of July, America's Independence Day. While we celebrate our freedom, we must be mindful of the fact that the people across the globe that are still suffering. Palestinians have not experienced freedom in 9 months. 35,000+ innocent people (including children) have been killed. They are losing their families, loved ones, homes, careers, and lives.

    I have seen so many people saying "what can I do to help?" and there are various answers to this. Here are some:

    1. Boycott - Stop buying from companies that are funding the genocides: McDonalds, Coca-Cola, Dominos, Google, Meta, Amazon, Disney, Hulu. Instead, support the ones that are in favor of stopping the genocides: Wet n Wild, Elf Cosmetics, Huda Beauty, Calvin Klein, Raising Canes, Ben n Jerry's

    2. Donate - There are countless resources out there that are designed to help Palestinians and I will link a few below. Click to help (one click, donates ad revenue), eSims (virtual SIM cards that allow communicate with the outside world), Ceasefire in Gaza (a website with reliable resources/information gathered in one place), GoFundMe (supporting displaced families in Gaza), Pious Projects Campaign (distributing feminine hygiene products)

    3. Spread the word - You cannot say things like "I don't get into politics" "I don't like to pick sides" "I'm staying neutral" in this situation. The only option here is to SPEAK UP. Properly educate those you can when you can, share accurate resources/posts online, donate, etc. Palestinians are being SILENCED and need as much help as we can provide.
