I had a lengthy talk with my Mother about AI art and how discouraging it is growing up and wanting a future in creating media

AI art is not and never will be actual art because the whole point in art is expression and soul and actual intentional creation as opposed to blatant theft and exploitation of passion

The fact that some companies use AI to “””””””””Fix””””””””” the “”””””””””Imperfections”””””””””” that literally is what defines art and gives it perspective is genuinely sickening and rotten

It takes a certain type of scumbag to generate an image that is based entirely on someone else’s talent and claim it as their own and if you are one of those people you can let me know in the comments so I can block you

I think that the proper point in a program that can learn from its mistakes are things like chat bots that can help you with what you’re trying to do instead of just doing it on its own

Personally my biggest fear about this is that Ai art is right now is at its worst it will ever be, And it grows faster and better exponentially.
So artist, musicians, writers, and other creative formats online will probably soon falter. This is not good

I prefer AI to stick with memes because we get funny stuff like the old Vines haha

Really, the only other thing I can think of for AI to be good is for generating inspiration for people, but that can be easily abused by just about anyone

I agree entirely with this. I was even talking to myself about this because I always used to use AI to make art and never make any original ones until recently.
