regarding many images on pmc being unavailable
tldr discord is deleting images after a while to free up storage space

what’s happening?
many images around PMC (wall posts, descriptions, profile pages) which are hosted on Discord are refusing to load, visiting the image URL returns an error.

what is causing it?
Discord doesn’t like it when you host images with them, so they’re creating a new system where images sent on Discord will be removed after a long period of time from Discord’s servers - there’s nothing we can do about it. it’s really inconvenient but PMC can do nothing about it, as it’s Discord who are hosting the image, and PMC is just displaying it from the image URL.

alternatives for image hosting
- if you’re up for a challenge, you could host your images through GitHub
- imgur is easy-to-use and doesn’t need logging in
- imgbb also exists
- Tixte is my favourite - you can upload images/videos/more and host them with a custom subdomain, with 15gb of storage space

its annoiyng, but PMC can’t do anything about it, and Discord ain’t gonna budge either.

Pride month is coming up and some people tend to be quite homophobic, so...

If you see any homophobic (including: biphobia, transphobia, acephobia and any other form of discrimination...) content, report it or block the person and move on; don't engage! Engaging will only make things more difficult, and we should take the staff members recent (~last few weeks or so) wall posts/advice into consideration.

Involving yourself with negativity/discrimination isn't healthy, so please avoid it if you can. If not, please try to find a safe(r) space for yourself.
If you're being harassed, blocking and reporting is the best course of action.

Spreading positivity, as well as making a safe place, is a good way of dealing with negativity. Please remember, aguing will not help here; this is a minecraft social site, not a place for heated and negative discussions.
