Early morning post number 2, I think.

Whoever is reading this, I URGE you not to use other people's OC(s)/Persona(s) as your own character(s), whether on public Minecraft servers or in private.

Sure, they're posted to a public website, but that doesn't mean you're allowed to take them and claim/use them as your own OC(s)/Persona(s). It's rude and considered a form of plagiarism and/or content theft (especially if posted somewhere else).

In all, it's unfair to the original creator who put their hard work into a skin (as well as backstory, general design, etc.) for it to be used and for the backstory to be changed or tampered with.

*A note that this goes for ALL art posted online, too. Using other people's art, especially other people's OC(s)/Persona(s) as your own OC/Persona is not okay (unless prior permission was given by the art creator).

*In many Roleplays (such as D&D or private ones run online by friends), using characters that have been created for movies/books/TV series, etc. is also not allowed.

edit: im aware of you not being able to stop this from happening. but shining more light on it may help the issue.

TL;DR: don't use other people's OC(s)/Persona(s) as your own (this goes for skins, art, etc).

Right, so, I've seen lots of people, not only on PMC but on sites like YT, etc. bash other creators for not being "productive" or "not uploading enough".

Let's not do that.
It's rude.
People have lives outside of social media. People may be struggling with issues that none of us are or should be aware of.
Bashing them for not uploading "consistently" or "on schedule" is a dumb thing to do... and, for some people, it could be a hurtful thing to do.

For context, I've seen a lot of skin creators, as well as other creators, say stuff like:
"I upload eight skins/videos/whatever a week. they seem lazy, they can't even upload three in a few days!"

"You only upload ten skins per month? Oh, well, I upload 28 and am working on four extra right now."


Being proud of how often you upload/how productive you are is fine. Just don't use it as a way to be "better" than someone.

Another note is that for a lot of creators, like myself, they don't only make skins or upload videos. There are people out there who are making a job out of digital or traditional art, paintings, making music, writing stories or scripts, etc.
For example (sorry in advance):
I'm currently working on a handful of personal stories that I'm planning on publishing.
I'm working on a story with my friends.
I'm finishing multiple pieces of digital art for both myself and my friends.
I'm working on online and IRL projects (both personal and not).
I'm also working on a costume IRL. It's fully handmade and will take a month or two at most if I rush it.

As I said, people have lives outside of these sites.
You not knowing is fine, but that doesn't give you a free pass to bash on them or make fun of them just because they're not "uploading as much" as you.
There's a likely chance of no one knowing what's going on..people shouldn't need to know.
Ex: I have a lot more stuff going on IRL than what I ever plan on mentioning.


*Note #1:
If you're ever concerned about someone's wellbeing or mental health, contacting moderators as well as reporting the user is allowed. Of course, this must be a valid report. There's more to this, and, if you are concerned about someone please read up before randomly reporting them.

*Note #2:
I don't condone leaving/ditching work (especially IRL) because you're just "don't feel like it". Of course, there are more reasons why someone would take a day or two off from work rather than that (for mental health, physical health, etc.)

Oooo I did something

Talking to a friend and they brought up how 'mocking' someone's pronouns could be considered transphobic to some people.
Whether it's transphobic or not, it is rude.

When someone corrects you politely on their pronouns or someone else's pronouns, whether offline or online, please be respectful and try not to emphasize their pronouns by saying "Oh, THEY/HE/SHE/ETC did/said ____".

I've seen this happen countless times. This happens most often when someone mentions they're changing their preferred pronouns or, of course, correcting someone.
A lot of people have pronouns on their page, whether they're LGBTQIA++ or not.
It's nice & respectful to follow what they prefer! :D

Another edit: Using the preferred pronouns after correction is not rude or offensive. Emphasizing them and, in a sense 'mocking' the pronouns or person by saying "HE/SHE/THEY" in fulls caps and/or bold/italic is, however, offensive to some.


*I've seen this on some Social Medias a lot, as well as IRL. Not so much on PMC, luckily.
