Sometimes I swear I frighten myself XD
My mom told me once that "Once you have your mind set to something, your generally going to do it" (one way or another)

Case in point. When I got my first car, I couldn't afford the kind I wanted. Then several years later, I saw a opportunity and went and got what i wanted :)

I had wanted to get a nice gaming PC one time, and thought about it, and looked for several years, and again i saw the opportunity, and went and got one
Now I have been wanting to go visit the UK for about 4 or 5 years now. I have literally obsessed over it since then lol. Over that course of years, It started out with me just casually exploring the UK on Google Maps. Then I started looking at places of interest. Then I started checking what it would cost to fly over. Then it was places to stay, and researching means of transportation more in depth. Then next thing you know. I am trying to find the stuff I need to apply for my passport at home. Before you know it I will be throwing myself on a plane bound for the UK, when I have never traveled more than 100 miles by myself, nor have I ever flown in a plane, or been outside of the country, or rode a train, or used any real public transportation for that matter. And will be wondering what I got myself into. XD

I started filling out the forms I need for my passport. But I chickened out. But how long will I keep that up, to I eventually jump "in over my head" lol

Ordered myself two new books =0 Got a Dutch dictionary, and another military Biography
That will make for three languages now. Will have dictionaries on "German, Dutch, and Japanese". And what do I know of the three? A couple words each XD

I was getting better at German, and life/ other interests got in the way, now I have forgotten a bit.
I guess I just like to horde knowledge lol

Thinking about treating myself to something for Christmas, but I am not sure what. Hmm
Not sure if I should get a game, or another book, I need more room for books tho lol

Having a nostalgic game night =o


Every year at this time on Christmas eve. I like to reminisce on the past years, Even more so now.

Growing up I started looking forward to Christmas a month or two before hand. Around Thanksgiving, My mom would start baking Christmas cookies to be frozen until Christmas, and the kitchen was almost always a very busy room from then till Christmas. She would make dozen of every kind. Everything from Chocolate chip, to ginger cookies, and whoopie pies. Then there was the excitement of the planning of who was coming over, and the Christmas shopping days, Wondering what i would get this year. About a week before Christmas. My brother, Dad, and me would go down to the Christmas tree farm to pick out our tree, I would hurry along down the rows of trees of various sizes and shapes, pointing out ones I thought where best. After we cut it down and dragged it down to the area where you paid, the person running the place always gave me and other kids Ginger bread men to eat, which Is what i always looked forward to on the trip (we switched to a fake tree several years ago). Then came the day we decorated, and all of us would take part in hanging up the ornaments. As a little kid the night of Christmas eve seemed to pass like an eternity. I often was up all night watching the clock, and checking out my door for a glimpse at the tree. The minutes seemed to go by like hours, and the hours seemed like days. Sometime during the night, while everyone was asleep but me. I would get brave enough to sneak out of my room, and over to hide behind the arm of the couch. Which was just off at angle from the little hallway from my room. If I was feeling really bold. I would inch my up to the tree, to get a look at the presents that where left underneath, and I would carefully examine them before slipping back to my room to try and sleep a few minutes (I never did usually). After midnight I would be up watching the clock like a hawk. Waiting for an appropriate time to wake my mom and dad, so i could open my gifts. It was always a very Exhilarating, and anxious night as a kid. Sometime around 4 am, I could wait no longer, and would go my parents room to try and wake them. I sometimes was successful, sometimes I was told to wait a bit more.
  Once awake, I had to wait to everyone was awake, and until my parents had gotten their cup of coffee. Then came the most exciting part! The opening of gifts! As little me excitingly ripped into the wrapping, to see what was hidden underneath. After it was all over, I sat in the middle of the floor surrounded by piles of wrapping paper, and open boxes, which rustled with our multiple cats playing inside of the mess. Mom would then bring out all the cookies from the freezer, and half the counter top would be lined with containers full of cookies. The wrapping paper would be cleaned up and I would begin taking my gifts out of their packaging to play/mess with, or look at them more closely. Around lunch we would head out to see our other family members to exchange gifts, and socialize. Then mom would spend the rest of the day cooking and preparing Christmas dinner, in which we would have family over. Mom would have a whole ham prepared with every casserole and side dish you could imagine, green beans, Yams, corn, cheesy potatoes, stuffing, you name it.

  A lot has changed since then. This time of the year was always a magical time for me when I was a young kid, and as an adult It still was somewhat. I tried my best this year to keep things going. I baked three different kinds of cookies. Chocolate chip, peanut butter blossom cookies, and cinnamon sugar cookie with nuts. I put up the tree, which unfortunately none of us got around to decorating this year, so it sits bare. I did my best to shop for presents for my Dad, and Brother. Cooked the ham I had gotten, and made a can of corn along with some cheesy potatoes from a box. Tomorrow We are going to visit my brother and other family, which I hope goes well. But I now fully realize all the effort and work my mom did to keep that Christmas spirit going, and now I feel like that magical feeling this time of the year as a kid, too has went with her. Before she passed, she seemed excited to start baking cookies for us, and mentioned to me she thought of something to get me for Christmas that I probably hadn't thought of. I wonder now what it would have been? I will miss those years. To be honest today now just feels mostly like another night, and I really don't expect anything tomorrow. But that is okay

Real life now runs on the physics engine of the last game you played. How does that work out in your favor? Or how chaotic does it get?

Torn in between working on another normal vehicle build next, or designing some more of my own fictional military vehicles. I have ideas, just not actual designs yet =o

When I get a portion of food out of a container, and what is left in the container isn't enough to put back, but is more than I want

I feel kinda mean now. I showed our cat Mini a laser pointer for the first time, and after I turned it off, she spent the next several minutes jerking her head around in confusion and spinning in circles looking for it.
I do like to play with her with a paper ball tho. Watching her carry it off in her mouth is cute

Its currently days away from Christmas, but I am craving ice cream >.<
