I've been thinking a lot on the idea of magic systems. I think it pretty cool how different they can be: different rules, if objects are involved, spells, ritual circles, elemental magic, possible religions, and so on! :>

Overall Status update:

Me:
- Had taken a pause for the first part of 2024. And will be more active again

Maps:
- theres a backlog of TODO´s, messages, maps, ports, that i try to tackle in the coming days.
- new projects are being worked on right now, and are planned for later this day or more likely tomorrow to be finished&released


Server:
- The Server will continue
- The current season will be extended until further notice


PMC:
- Reached level 84, 3 weeks ago. Where i wanted to say a huge thanks for all of your support and also thanks for all the kind comments all around PMC (Wallposts, guestbooks, comments, msg´s) ^^

This week's creature... Zombie!

Zombies are often shown as ravenous, mindless undead seeking for brains. Originating from Haitian folklore, now many sci-fi and fantasy universes (including our beloved Minecraft) has their own version of an undead human. There are also many stories about zombie apocalypses, involving a virus of some sort, but did you know that zombies are real? Well, not in the way one would expect; fear those things only if you are an insect. There is a family of fungi named Cordycipitaceae, which are parasitic, mind-controlling mushrooms which use insects to spread themselves. Luckily, humans don't need to worry that The Last of Us-like scenario will happen.

I'm sure no one really likes zombies. With few exceptions, where zombies are sapient, these undead freaks are hated and feared. I got here a very weird game with talking zombies - not PvZ, everyone knows this franchise. I meant Zombie Catchers. I won't explain the plot, go check it yourself... It's very weird, maybe I should take an break...?

Creature Thursdays!

Every Thursday, we are going to discuss about one fantasy creature. Participation is optional, although I would be very happy if you wanted to contribute.

This week's creature... Dragon!

Dragons are legendary reptiles, which in most cases are known for their gigantic size, never-ending wisdom, ability to fly and to breathe fire. In the West, dragons are often depicted as giant, fire-breathing lizards with wings, which hoard treasures and are symbols of evil. Meanwhile in East, they are large serpentine creatures with manes and deer antlers, being a symbol of luck. There are multiple alternate depictions of what one call a dragon, such as hydras (western dragons with multiple heads), drakes (western dragons without wings), amphipteres (serpents with wings), leviathans (sea serpents), and many more.

What do you think about them? Are they worthy of respect, or they are vile beasts that don't deserve a second of existence in your fantasy works?

Lastly, I found a well made game called Flappy Dragon. Remember Flappy Bird? This is the new, better version with dragons! Discover beautiful worlds while devouring royals and collecting many treasures, such as treasure chests, dragon eggs, and... donuts? At the moment I write this, there are 190 uniqque dragons to collect, each has an unique buff or skill. Tap, hold or follow your way to becoming the ultimate flappy master!
