Aside the project updates today, i finished yesterday "The Biome Composition"
Kinda a mixture of what biome is included and how big the share is, and now wondering if i can add that to my pmc project pages maybe..hmm.

Also the amount of water % is craaazy, like yes my worlds are surrounded by water but it never felt like 40-50+%, more like 20-25%, i wonder if i should move the rivers to surface biomes, so the water doesnt get "over represented. But then its like xD "top" biome like whaaa

Rivers being so high mainly derives from the fact, that the "river and river banks" both classify as one biome, so they are a "little" larger than actually seen. Wondering how i should handle that ..

- its weirdly hard to grasp in the moment as you balance the *stare into the sun* with *not doing that* because: the sun is a deadly laser~
- that small ball casually covering an object 370x larger than itself lol
- or like: people have been there just a few months ago like what.

tried to improve my mountain styles, textures and silhouettes, only to be covered up by shadows, clouds and forests x_x

Had the pleasure to (dual boot) use the glorius malware/spyware: Winshit once again.
The second i got in, it pissed me off from start to end.


- ads
- my pen tablet didnt work
- installed the driver, still didnt work.
- and lastly: it LAGS sooo much and is sooo slow like HOLY, you dont understand! My 5k pc felt like a second hand rip off Temu laptop

Tried adjusting the last artwork again in photosop/photopea for testing.
Overthinking, unsure which is better.

Not perfect wanted a more stylized pixel look, but good enough i guess.

Most of this entry is just me yapping about two approaches to drawing I've recently started using – Shape capturing, and plumb-lines. I also discovered that I'm a bit of 'perfectionist' in terms of my full-illustrations of characters such as Ruri Aoki. An illustration may look like Aoki, but if (in my head), I can't see a pose or an expression, matching the personality or actions of Aoki (or any other character I am illustrating); I stop wanting to work on the illustration, for it does not capture the essence of her.

I admire the work of Yousuf Karsh (photographer, 1908-2002), as I saw his portrait of Pablo Casal a few years back, and it has since stuck to the back of my mind, any time I think of portraits or illustrations. Karsh would often put his subject at ease, and then wait for the authentic moment that reveal the subjects' true personality --> by extension; I think it worth waiting with committing to a full illustration, until I find the sketch to be an authentic show of a given characters true personality. It is limiting, but I don't mind waiting.

On a more personal note: Something I never directly mention (but has affected the writing and sketches a lot), is that I feel burned out from work, and generally experiencing troubles with keeping my daily life together. It's not going to stop me from drawing; but burnout and mental fatigue, eats away at my concentration and ability to sit down and learn new stuff. So big chunks of this entry, is just doodles.

Day/Row 2 Sketches try

it makes me feel like a toddler thats holding a pen for the first time

tried krita for the first time + first time painting in ages.. (wanting to try doing some concept sketches)

ordered a pen tablet, should arrive hopefully today c:
im still bad then, but then im bad but with a pen :D
