Hello there, i'm currently creating a very huge map of Greenland, the largest island on the world, with tundra, scattered small forests, and the large ice sheet. To make survival more challenging, i have made the map as realistically as possible, with barely any forests at all (There are some forests, but you'll have to walk for about an hour or so to find it), and the size of it is also very realistic, because one minecraft day/night cycle is 1/72 of one earth day, so making an approximate 1:72 scaled map makes one day walking in Minecraft is like walking one day in real life.
There are absolutely no animals here on this map. I have added a survival chest at spawn, with some saplings, a boat and a couple of spawn eggs to make up for the animals that don't spawn here. Walking from the southern tip of Greenland to the top, is about 35,000 blocks, so that would take a while, but it would take faster with a boat (Be careful of the ice at northern part of the island.) If you would walk across the ice sheet, you'll need some food with you, because there is absolutely nothing you could refill on the way.
