Welcome to yet another project of our awesome forge of creativity called Æonis! Today we proudly present the first building in our mansion district of Lucrécy, where only the fancy and famous live. Read on to get some insights to its inhabitant.

When Von Bösendorff was appointed Minister of Inner Affairs, he was in urgent need of a new representative residence, ideally near the palace and the parliament. So Nathanaël II granted him a plot near the newly built pond to supply the waterworks of the palace gardens. He then ordered leading architects of the Empire to build him a mansion par excellence. Finished in early 1737, Von Bösendorff moved here in summer 1737. Since then, he hosted many soirees and meetings of leading politicians of Castaire here, his mansion became the melting pot of imperial-liberal movements in favour of increasing the Empires wealth.

Le Chateau du Bösendorff consists of a single main building with two pavillons attached via bow-shaped galleries. Thus it encloses a formal baroque garden featuring the coat of arms of Von Bösendorff as a bed pattern. Highlights of the building are the tower on the right side (when viewed from across the pond), where the minister has his working rooms and office, as well as the central hall featuring a glass roof. This room is often used for the aforementioned soirees of Von Bösendorff.
