I was inspired by Nitrox Nova's Medieval Enchanted Library, which is also featured in the North end of Turtle Bay. Her model became one of the most popular features on the Turtle Bay server.

This model was built as part of our "Villages" server, where players could claim a large region that includes a village. Then the player grew their "village" population. Our Plainsville village quickly became overrun with nearly 170 villagers and 210 iron golems. Overrun by npcs, we retired the Villages server and installed the librar here in Turtle Bay where it sits at the entrance to the Southtown neighborhood in Turtle Bay.

Originally it was named Plainville University (go P.U.!), it was built entirely in survival mode. Since its installation i Turtle Bay, we have edited the structure block (.nbt) files to make the prices consistent with the Enchanted Library on the north end of town. This building provides users with the ability to purchase every enchanted book, except for Soul Speed (only available in the nether). We also include a couple weapon smiths, tool smiths, and fletchers to round out the mix.

The building is provided in two versions, the first is the original model with an oak roof. During the development of the villages server, the library burned down twice due to lightning strikes and had to be rebuilt (without cheats). the second time we rebuilt it, we replaced the oak roof with a weathered copper roof. Now it seems immune to lightning strikes.

The model is provided with a schematic file and a structure block. If you just want the building, use the schematic file to install it. To get the fully decorated version with villagers, you must use the structure block version. Details on how to install the different versions are provided in README.txt file in the downloaded zip file.

The dimensions of the model are 41 east/west by 19 blocks north/south and 32 blocks high. The front doors are in the center of the south side of the building, however, you can rotate the building as desired.
