Login Streak Like On MC Servers!

I think it would be fun to make a login streak update, to make it more fun (not that it isn’t already but still fun this way too) and as a cool way to see how active a person is! Just a thought/suggestion that i really want now!

This doesn't seem like the right kind of site for this, many people just use this to make skins or upload/update a project and then leave. The online indicators already exist and you can tell how active someone is by plenty other metrics already, this would just be numbers for the sake of numbers, and imo a creepy one to collect at that.

Minecraft servers also tend to have login streaks because you'll get their digital currency that you would otherwise buy with money, or go to a page with an ad that nets them some money too. PMC does not have the first thing or a use for that and I hope it never does. Tying it to XP would also totally defeat the point of that system being to incentivise interaction and sharing of creative stuff and not simply passive usage.

i dont think it would be creepy to collect that bc breh tons of sites have this

Just because tons of websites do it doesn't mean it's not intentionally FOMO-inducing and weird. There is no extra functionality that would be gained by logging on every day here nor is it any random user's business knowing how high that number is. At least a chess site streak would be a measure of practice or something, that's not a good example here, it's still dumb.

I'd argue it'd alienate the people who spend much longer on or in between projects or don't have the time to be on here every day. It would put undue pressure on them, let alone new users.
