Yesterday, the group saw a mysterious cloaked figure around the island. Today, nothing happened. Tonight, they hope things will remain normal.
IGEBM, Si, and Storm finish up their dinner after spending the afternoon finishing building the boat they'll use to leave Shiver Island on October 31st. "That chicken was pretty good." IGE says, getting up to put his plate in the sink. "I wish we had some dessert." Si adds. "Yeah, that would make this dinner even better." Storm responds. "Y'all wanna go to bed early? I'm tired." "Yeah, I am too." IGE answers with a yawn. "We did some hard work." Si nods in agreement with them, and they head upstairs to start showering and changing into their pajamas.
That night, around 11:38 PM, loud chanting is heard coming from deep within the woods, awakening the trio from their sleep. They gather in the living room, unable to sleep. "Should we go out and investigate it?" Si asks. "Well, we can't sleep unless it stops." IGE responds. "So yes?" Storm asks him. IGE gives him a "What do you think?" stare. "I'll just go put my day clothes on." He goes up to his room to change. IGE and Si do the same.
Not too long after, they meet again in the living room. IGE hands out flashlights. "Let's roll." he says, opening the door. They turn on the lights and run out through the rain to the shelter of the dark forest, following the source of the sound. As they get deeper into the forest, they realize it's not coming from within the woods. "The source is past the trees." Si says. "We're almost at the edge of the forest and sounds like it's still ahead of us." "Then it must be coming form the mountain." Storm says. The trio keep walking, eventually exiting the woods and standing before the tall mountain.
By now, it's 5 minutes to midnight. They spot a tunnel at the base of the mountain with a glowing light somewhere in it, and they also hear the chanting even louder now. "It must be in here." IGE says, heading into the tunnel. Si and Storm follow, and they spent 5 minutes walking through it before stopping at the end, where there is a small cavern. Inside the cavern is the cloaked figure, the Ferryman, the Axecutioner, and Martin Helsyth, who are too busy reciting a chant to see them!
