Hi!
Want to make your Minecraft maps quicker?
Here are some tips!

Quickly want to select a block?
Just use the "Pick block" button!
"Pick Block" (defaul=middle mouse button) will change your hand to the block that you're facing.
In Survival, this requires you to have the block, but in Creative, you don't have to. If there's a empty hotbar slot, it will take the 'picked' block to that one. If there's not a empty hotbar slot, the block will replace the one you're holding.

Tired of rewriting signs?
Just copy its text!
When you use "pick block" while holding LControl (in creative), you will not only copy the block, but also its NBT.
This means that:
  • Signs will copy its text.
  • Chests and Furnaces will copy its contens.

  • Note blocks copy its note.

  • Command blocks copy its command

There may be some more things that I have missed.
Some things can't be copied using this way though, like entity damage.
These things can usually be done with metadata.

Quickly finish commands?
Using TAB when typing things, it will automatically finish to commands matching the entered text.
This can not be done in command blocks.
What you can do, is type the required text into regular chat, when you're at the end pressing shift+control+left (arrow keys) to select all text, then use ctrl+c (or ctrl+x) to copy (or cut) it and ctrl+v in the command block to paste it.

Want to build faster?
Using the /fill command, you can quickly fill a cubic area with a specific block.
The entire command looks like this: /fill <X1> <Y1> <Z1> <X2> <Y2> <Z2> <itemname> [dataValue] [oldBlockHandeling] [dataTag]
In the "location fields" (X Y Z), using a ~ will set a distance starting from your feet. So ~1 at X will place it at your position +1 on X. Filling nothing after that will set it to zero.

More tips will be added later, so check time to time for updates!
Bye!
