Features
This pack introduces a complex spell casting system which allows you to build your own custom spells, setting their behavior through the spell book interface.
Beside the magic system, the pack adds a set of items, with one variant for each of the 5 energy types available.
5 structures are also added to the pack, one for each energy type, and they are the starting point for this pack.
Each energy type is linked to a set of effects you can use in your spells.
The structures introduced by this pack are called ruins, they are small simple structures containing an Energy Globes spawner. These globes give you access to all the items in the pack.
This pack comes with a really short in game guide in the advancement tab, which will teach you how to craft all items. I still strongly suggest to watch the tutorial before playing.
Download the datapack and put it in the datapacks folder of your world or server. Make sure you download the required resourcepack, and put it in the resource packs folder.
If you plan to use multiple datapacks and resourcepacks together, you can use Weld to easily merge them together to place in your world. (some packs may not be compatible with others, but mine follows smithed's conventions for better compatibility with other packs)

- spell book: allows you to create and cast spells
- jar of energy: a better way to carry with you lot of energy
- caster armor: offers no protection but discounts the cost of the spells you cast

Spells
- break effect deals twice as much damage
- added 'align' value for 'direction' and 'position' nodes (to align the direction to the closest carinal direction, and to align the position to the grid along one or more axes)
- added 'attacker' target to target the entity who attacked the caster
- added 'damage dealt' and 'damage taken' flags
Mind Attacks
- only boss entities now have focus, meaning that attacking with your mind other mobs will result in the order being applied instantly
- A fully charged mind attack can deal up to 10 hearts of damage
- mind attacks have different fx for when they just remove focus and when they actually apply the mind control order
Bug Fixes
- now all tutorial advancements show up
- fixed "player_and_mob" target selector
- fixed a bug where players dying while meditating would lose their items
Nerd Stuff
- shapes and effects code is not totally separated from the rest of the pack, meaning that it is now possible to make add-on datapacks which introduce new effects or shapes (documentation coming in the future)

If you chose hotbar or inventory, you have to select which slot in them. You start counting from up left from zero.

Also remember, as the tutorial also says, that overcharging a spell will cause the spell to start taking energy directly from you (saturation and health)

bosses will eventually be added, but there is a lot of work to do on the pack before that.
you can already sort of do a spell like that with what is already in the pack, but it will require you some major brain power, cause it is kinda complicated.
will be easier once i add the aoe shape with the next update
