Procedural Cities Exhibition!

The official PMC museum has just opened, and is full with interesting things to see!
One of them, is the exhibition I created about self-generating cities :-)
To find it, go on the official PM server, in the "Member Content" wing, on the entrance of the "Builds & Blogs" room.
You'll see two self-replicating dioramas, a photo gallery of surreal limitless worlds and you'll discover many curiosities about these machines. There is also an area dedicated to the Procedural Metropolis Contest!

This week we are announcing an exciting change to how any PBL has been run before.

The launch of the SSPBL Polls page.

Instead of having users post their own polls which has resulted in buried polls, or polls only exposed to a single subscription base, we will be posting the polls for everyone on the SSPBL Polls page.

Another problem we have had with the past polls, is having some users vote for their opponents, while some voted for themselves, or didn’t vote at all. While we have loved seeing the sportsmanship of voting for your opponent, and everyone on the team has done this themselves when we’ve participated, we have seen some tight polls go down over the season where 1 single vote could change the results. We have ultimately decided the only way to ensure an accurate poll is to ask everyone to vote for yourself.

Last week I asked everyone to send me a color of their choice… this week’s palette is made out of those colors. We’re limiting the amount of colors where you can use to up to 16 out of the 32 colors. Even with all the chaos, some colors still managed to be extremely similar. We’re excited to see what everyone does with the palette.

The final poll between -Lunatique and Allergy_Man has concluded and with a tally of 54 to 32, we can now announce the winner of SSPBL season 5! Allergy_Man! Throughout the season Allergy impressed us with his high level of quality and design ingenuity, a very impressive season by both him and all of our other lovely contestants.

To celebrate the amazing season, one of our own, the amazing Zitzabis has made a fascinating blog, in which he has made a program that generated the average skin made for each round! Reward yourself and check all of the skins out here!

The final was a spectacular stand-off between two amazing skins, a theme that was on-going throughout the season with everyone impressing us on a weekly basis. Make sure you check out and appreciate the two skins that were in the finals! Of course you should also check out our collection of all the skins made for this season, there are over 100!
