BlueBoyBuilds - Hands down, literally the GOAT of all of PMC. Genuinely one of the kindest and most humble people on this site (btw, ladies, he's 6'5" and saved my burning house from a cat one time)
TheGuyAcrossSpace - One of, if not the best, skinner(s) on the site. Literally every skin is an artistic masterpiece, the concepts, colors, and everything else are all amazing
Rappenem - Very talented pack maker and pixel artist, PLEASE go download Rappenem's Reforge, it's really good
McMeddon - Best map maker on the site, enough said
And ZappyGru as an honerable mention- Cool pixel art style + has a very interesting Ghostbusters animation in the works

Hello! Just wanted to update you guys on how the project is going! For those who don't know, me and a couple of good friends of mine are working on an animation in the theme of Ghostbusters! The project is doing very well, with about 20% of the animation complete! So far, I have high hopes on how things are going, and I'm excited to see what happens next.

For those who may be wondering, yes! There are people from PMC who are contributing to this project, with two of them being DaniAdler and Diving as my background artists and jellyfishh as my sound effect artist! As one of the special cameos, we also have BlueBoyBuilds in some scenes! Both artists are doing a great job, and I'm super grateful to have them as well as my cameos on the team! Below, I've attached little bits and pieces from the animation to share with you guys! More info about the team and progress will arrive in the future shortly!

We got a response from Skinseed.

They "fine-tuned" on an unnamed base diffusion model and "public domain" skins, then call it ethical. I smell bull

It seems they have no intention on being direct and providing sources, while also attempting emotional appeal to shed responsibly. BUT! We now know they're reading and responding to emails. Keep the pressure up!

If you DO happen to get a response from Skinseed with their data sourcing (that isn't just "public dataset", I'm looking for source names and links), please contact me immediately so I can research the database.

Hi! Just wanted to pop in and announce that I'm finally going to finish my Ghostbusters animation this year (for real this time)! It would mean the world to me if I can get your support whether it's feedback for my future updates on the project, or just kind words of affirmation during development. That's all! As an additional note: While I would love to have it ready by Halloween, I realistically believe Thanksgiving will give me and the team just enough time to get everything right!

just doing a little Public survey to our community here. For the longest time I wanted to make this tavern something special but I haven’t always known the best way to do that. And with the year nearly halfway over I thought it be a good time to ask your opinions on ideas for how to make this group better for all of us at the tavern!

So leave a comment below on any ideas or suggestions you may have for additions to the group that you’d want to see!
(And before you ask, no we can’t make a server, we don’t got the budget for that sorry)

Skinseed could be using YOUR Minecraft skin for AI image generation. Minecraft skin artists deserve to know if their work is being used to make AI generated skins. This "dataset" is so vague, it could be anything from IP protected archives to people's personal Minecraft skins.

What can you do? ↓



I did reach out for comment via email, but at this time there has been to reply. WHAT WE WANT TO KNOW:

1. Which database was used to train your upcoming model? Was it created with proper permissions and/or compensation, or was it sourced from external archives?

2. Were all creators whose work is in your dataset aware of it appearing in the dataset? Did they all consent to their data being used for generative training?

3. Will the AI generated content and the use of it contribute to your ad revenue? This includes scrolling AI generated archives and ads showing up.

4. Do you have plans to monetize, since most models are pay to use?

5. Does your team have plans to implement environmental offsets or put sustainability measures in place? Seeing as image generation uses a large amount of resources.



ANY Minecraft artists, people who have made Minecraft skins, or AI haters! PLEASE help us let Skinseed know we do NOT want AI and we are tired of theft!

For the time being, I highly encourage avoiding use of the Skinseed app on any device. They make revenue off of ad income. So using it = more money in Skinseed's pocket.

If this goes through, this will be the largest, most accessible, AI Minecraft skin generator. This is terrifying.
