pmc experts, what does the difference in this number mean? i have absolutely no memory of ever deleting ~1000 posts (tbh, i'd be too lazy) so i can't imagine it's that, but ig it has been a rlly long time. if it is i think i really might need to seek out medical help for my memory, iykyk.

With the new function to disable public skin downloads, I've taken the download option off of my Jam contest entries. Everything else is still FTU and accessible like before.

You may be wondering why; and it's a bit of a silly reason. I've seen players mistake my jam entries for FTU skins that ended up getting used on the server I roleplay on too. So when I wanted to still use one myself but then found someone else playing what was basically a dupe of my character, I was like "well.. this is awkward" LOL. So let's I hope don't run into that problem again going forward.

In other news, I was going to resume regular uploads once a kind of personal life cannon event happened. However, it hasn't happened yet - so that's a little awkward, too. I'm ready to resume when it does happen though, and will be happy to come back for another year or half-year.

Someone decided they wanted to be rude, mean, try to push me around and bully me about editing someone's skin, posting that edit even when I gave the original creator credit in the description.

Someone else got mad at me I gave the random rude person the same energy back, decided to be on the rude person's side, and made a whole plot to 'steal one of her skins and change the color, post it, and see what she thinks' as in steal my work, change it, and uploaded it.

But the best part about it is he gave credit for it, like what I did to the skin that I didn't make, that I made an edit of.

The thing that's the most frustrating is- I guess I can't be rude to people who are rude to me first, which is funny. And well, that kid is going to find out real fast he's not the only one who uses my work, gives credit, and posts the skin....... That's... kinda my whole thing with making outfit bases and what not.

Anyway, small rant. All happened on skindex. People are weird, and dumb.

These past few years have been a real test on my mental fortitude. I'm not doing well, but no one would be in my current circumstance.

It's a very cringe way to start off this little post to the void of the internet for anyone to see but I want to get a weird thought off my mind.

Roleplay, especially on minecraft, has been a medium and place where I've developed and grown up on. I never put too much thought into what it is I uploaded on this place, but I always did things for the different communities that I was involved in. People forget, and history will always forget the little or large things that you do even if you want to leave a mark on the world. No matter how hard I tried as a kid to have a memorable moment with people, I've come to accept- and grew comfortable, that it'll all be forgotten anyways; so who cares what occurs in the moment?

I never expected people to recognize me, years later, for any work I've published on PMC. But every now and then, the tik-tok algorithm sends it my way, different people in different spaces using my work. Or sometimes, I'll join a new place, and I have people who recognize me from my minecraft gamer-tag.

It's not bad, but I can't help but flinch (lol). It's nice (lovely in fact) to hear from different people who have used my old skinning templates to help get a start on a new hobby. I also love seeing the progress that they've made over the years with art and skins. Yet it's made me realize how harsh the past few years have really been on me and my confidence-- that I'll get lambasted for uploading instead of keeping it hidden.

Recent encounters with a few clients (art comms) sometimes makes me worried that I'm not projecting myself as positively as I want. I have to work on improving my poker-face from here moving forward. Everything has been just a little sad, but it gives me some peace if my very old projects have served some use to some people. Maybe, who knows, I might do it again or update what's already out there :shrug:
