okay so this wasnt just a me thing. uhh some of the pics in planetbeliebers posts may be gone 🙃 i'll host them with another platform from now on but the rest are just gonna be gone ig. also all the secret message pics are hosted on discord so my older ones are gonna be gone too as well as any other pics i posted

regarding many images on pmc being unavailable
tldr discord is deleting images after a while to free up storage space

what’s happening?
many images around PMC (wall posts, descriptions, profile pages) which are hosted on Discord are refusing to load, visiting the image URL returns an error.

what is causing it?
Discord doesn’t like it when you host images with them, so they’re creating a new system where images sent on Discord will be removed after a long period of time from Discord’s servers - there’s nothing we can do about it. it’s really inconvenient but PMC can do nothing about it, as it’s Discord who are hosting the image, and PMC is just displaying it from the image URL.

alternatives for image hosting
- if you’re up for a challenge, you could host your images through GitHub
- imgur is easy-to-use and doesn’t need logging in
- imgbb also exists
- Tixte is my favourite - you can upload images/videos/more and host them with a custom subdomain, with 15gb of storage space

its annoiyng, but PMC can’t do anything about it, and Discord ain’t gonna budge either.

I’d use Imgbb or Imgur, they’re both great for uploading pictures that won’t get deleted

hi guys so em cool little announcement about my art blog, mostly about my current blog and future blogs. im gonna start posting pages from my sketchbook there now, cos even tho i dont draw as much as id like to, just putting my digital stuff just makes it seem like i barely ever draw.
and also from now on, my blogs are going t be oldest to newest from now on (spec the art in the spoiler) cos its much easier to add images this way yay!
also kinda unrelated issue but it just seems that my blogs's updates are very delayed, like last update i made was 22 hours ago and now finally it shows that.
