Continuing the trend of releasing unexciting and utilitarian structures. This time it is just a small bakery that might be found in a medieval town or city. Two stories high, with a shopfront below and living quarters above. Two small ovens out back with a plentiful supply of fuel. Designed to be plug-n-play for most maps and at the same scale as my other projects. I am making this available so others can use them in projects of their own.
Feedback is very welcome so leave a comment if you find this interesting or useful.
As with all my designs, best used with the JohnSmithLegacy texture pack.

You are welcome to use this design in any non-commercial mod or design of your own. Just give me proper attribution. Also, if you make your work available to the public please let me know; I'd love to see your designs too!

Everything I'm posting today will actually be stuff I've already released in my Walled Medieval Town. Except here I'm just posting individual structures as opposed to, well, an entire town. Hopefully this will make it easier for any interested crafters to re-use the schematics in their own projects. I intend to do this for the next few days.
Once I am done with that boring stuff, I intend to clean up and release two (or maybe three)Ã small towns I built a few months ago (which will utilize a number of the same resources).
And once that's done, then I'll start making /new/ stuff.
So it's not as if I'm some Minecraft machine. Heck, I'm SLOW when it comes to this stuff. It's just a huge backlog that makes it look otherwise.
Essentially, I first create the "infrastructure" - the walls and roads - of the town. Then I cut-n-paste buildings into the map, placing them with MCEdit. This fills in about half the town. Next, I return to Minecraft proper and hand-build structures in the remaining space. That's the time-consuming part. I usually finish up by customizing the pasted buildings a bit to make things look less generic - mostly greeble and internals furnishings, which is dull and tedious work, but necessary.
To add variety I often use schematics downloaded from PMC. For instance, I heartily recommend Axianerve's Medieval Building Bundle. This does cause problems, however, if I want to share the project. But for personal use, pre-built schematics are an efficient way to fill out a city.
It saves a lot of time. It does have the advantage that it makes many of my towns look very similar because you see the same buildings over and over again. On the other hand, it does add a nice consistency to the realm.
