Later this week, i will post a project celebrating my 300 subcribers. Thank you all for the support, and stay tuned. It is nearly finished.
Also, I am hosting a Build Contest, deadline is March 19th. If you are at all interested, you should try it out. all are welcome
O-14 is one of the smaller towers located in Dubai, UAE. Designed by Reiser + Umemoto, this 22-story office tower is unique by inverting the building. It pushes the structure to the exterior, acting as an exoskeleton of "perforated concrete" and bringing the skin behind it which offers the advantage of freeing up the interior space for whatever fits the users' needs. This also frees up the core from needing to also carry the lateral loads, further adding to the useful space. The exoskeleton is also structurally efficient as it is laid out in a diagrid pattern.
My interpretation is a little off, as far as accuracy is concerned, but the way that it was put together was more so like a puzzle, adding pieces where they would fit and bringing it all together to create the effect of a porous structure. This build has long challenged me, and after my fourth attempt (over the years), i have finally built something that i am pleased with.
Dimensions: 31 x 31 x 90
Using High Rossferry City Texture Pack
Thank you Darkone55
Additional Note: The grass and sand area behind the tower is part of a future build that i am working on.
