Hello,
the Vecchio district is the oldest inhabited area in the whole city-state. In past, it used to be the centre of a roman colony and now it's still significant, as it's mostly inhabited by respectable craftsmen and merchants, members of the guilds. It's located in the south-eastern part of the city, next to the Popolo and Cervo one.
The district has a large variety of monuments, from different periods, most of which are located on Mercato Vecchio square: roman aqueduct, archbishop's palace (under reconstruction), Guild hall, a tavern, alchemists' guild or san Frediano basilica, the distrct's principal church (https://www.planetminecraft.com/project/basilica-di-san-frediano/). Apart from that, You can observe other relevant structures, such as small romanesque church of san Pietro and Paolo, the Stefaneschi Bank (one of the most important noble familiers in the area), the main hospital, Palazzo Citti with interesting gardens or Palazzo Anzari, which is a replica of Palazzo della Signoria (https://www.planetminecraft.com/project/palazzo-della-signoria/) showing the megalomania of this family (the current doge is also its member, that's why You can observe the same banners on Palazzo Ducale).
The city walls are also worth seeing, due to an interesting city gate, Porta Cherrarese, which has recently been rebuilt according to renaissance archtectonical rules.
