Donald John Trump (born June 14, 1946) is an American statesman and politician, entrepreneur, billionaire and the 45th President of the United States from January 20, 2017 to January 20, 2021 from the Republican Party. Time Person of the Year (2016).

The fourth of five children of Frederick Christ and Mary MacLeod Trump, Donald John Trump was born on June 14, 1946 in the Queens borough of New York City. Frederick Trump was a builder and developer who specialized in the design and implementation of middle-class housing projects in the boroughs of Queens, Staten Island and Brooklyn. Donald Trump was an energetic and assertive child, and at the age of 13, his parents sent his son to the New York Military Academy, in the hope that the strict discipline of the institution would channel his energy in the right direction. While still a student, Donald worked part-time for his father in the summer, and then got a permanent job at his father’s company, The Trump Organization. He finds funds to expand the company's influence by convincing his father of the benefits of loans secured by the real estate of the Trump housing complexes. But, nevertheless, due to strong competition in the market, profits were not high. In 1971, Donald Trump moved to Manhattan, where he met many influential people. Having studied the economic opportunities of the city, Trump takes on large, high-income construction projects in Manhattan that are also attractive in architectural terms, thereby winning public recognition.
After the Pennsylvania Central Railroad is declared bankrupt, Trump has the opportunity to buy a piece of land it owned in the western part of Manhattan. When initial plans to build housing prove unfeasible due to the unfavorable economic situation, Trump offers a site for a convention center, and in 1978 the government chooses it from three possible sites. True, Trump’s proposal to transfer the site free of charge in exchange for the center being named after him was not accepted, as was the request to build an entire complex, which was proposed to be called “Senator Jacob Javit.”
In 1974, Trump acquired one of the Penn Central hotels, the Commodore, which was unprofitable but had an excellent location, located in close proximity to New York's Grand Central Station. The following year, he signed a partnership agreement with the Hyatt Hotel Corporation, which just needed a large hotel in the city center. Then Trump negotiates a package deal with the city, getting tax cuts for as much as 40 years, finds funding and begins a major renovation of the building, replacing the old façade with a stunning design made of shiny glass by architect Der Skutt. When the new hotel, renamed The Grand Hyatt, opened in 1980, it became an immediate success and soon justified the cost of redevelopment, making Donald Trump the city's most famous and controversial developer.
In 1977, Trump married New York model Ivanna Zelnikova-Winklmeier, who competed on the Czech Olympic ski team in 1968. In 1978, after the birth of the first of three sons, Donald John Trump Jr., Ivanna Trump was appointed vice president of the Trump Organization, playing a major role in the renovation of the Commodore Hotel.
In 1979, Trump took a long-term lease on a site on Fifth Avenue adjacent to the building of the famous Tiffany company for the construction of a grandiose apartment complex worth $200 million, designed by Der Scutt. After its opening in 1982, the complex will be named Trump Tower. Holliday Inns Corporation, a partner of Harrah's Casino & Hotel, offers the Trumps a partnership agreement, and in 1982, the Harrah's Casino Hotel opens in the Trump Plaza complex, in which $250 million was invested. In 1986, Trump bought out the Holliday Inns and renamed the establishment the Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino. When a corporation is denied a gambling license, Trump buys a casino hotel in Atlantic City owned by Hilton Hotels and calls the $320 million complex Trump's Castle. Later, he has the opportunity to buy out the largest casino hotel in the world, the Taj Mahal in Atlantic City, which will open in 1990.
At the same time, in New York, Trump is purchasing a residential building and the adjacent Barbizon-Plaza Hotel, overlooking Central Park, hoping to implement a large investment construction project in their place. In 1988, Trump purchased the Plaza Hotel for $407 million and invested $50 million in its renovation, led by his wife Ivana.

On November 3, 2020, the presidential elections took place in the United States, and Trump's main opponent was Democrat Joe Biden. On November 7, before the official announcement of the election results, it became known that Donald Trump lost the presidential race with a result of 214 electoral votes. Biden received at least 290 electoral votes thanks to his victory in swing Pennsylvania.
Donald Trump began to challenge the election results and filed lawsuits in some states. In addition, the voting results caused a wave of discontent and rallies in the country. And on January 6, 2021, on the eve of the official confirmation of Biden’s victory in Congress, Trump supporters began to storm the Capitol and broke into the building itself. As a result of this action, five people were killed, including a policeman. As a result, the security forces managed to oust the protesters, and Biden’s victory was confirmed.
Numerous violations and protests led to Donald Trump being denied access to many social networks, including his Instagram and Twitter accounts. In addition, the wave of bans also affected supporters of the former president. The management of these online platforms referred to the inadmissibility of calls for violence and unrest.
A few days later, the House of Representatives impeached Trump, accusing him of inciting insurrection. Thus, he became the first US president to be impeached twice.
In 2022, Trump continued to conduct business and did not retreat from politics.
