TLDR: This pack changes ores to be an alternative set of shapes while all being unique. This pack uses the stone from programmer art and the current (I think) default deepslate. Should be compatible with a decent amount of older versions, but the pack is technically for the 1.18 cycle.

I've had an interest in the programmer art for a while (I'm still slowly getting used to the new textures) and when 1.17 put in new ore textures, I decided to try my hand at making new ore shapes (I wasn't the hugest fan of the new shapes, but it was a good idea to have them unique). I made them with their character in mind (including the new ores, just applied differently) and I have aimed to make them distinct, balanced (to make it appelaing), and I wanted to use it with shapes similar to the originals. Next, I decided that deepslate ores would have their new, deeper colours because when I first saw deepslate diamond ore, I really liked its palette, but I had programmer art on so I didn't know it was also the stone diamond ore. I think the new colour suits the stone version less.

Shape explanation by material:
- Diamond: The original shape. Deepslate adds in another colour found in 1.14's textures.
- Gold: Nether gold ore's nuggets but there's more of it not in a sparse yet defined circle (how I see the real texture).
- Iron: Slivers, with "missing pixels" like the texture update originally had before it was patched. Closest 1.17 revision the first (slight influence).
- Emerald: Its original shape. Deepslate's colour distribution was actually inspired by ruby ore.
- Lapis: Its original shape, but stone ore uses its texture update fill so that I can change it for deepslate. Sorry if you liked the gradient.
- Copper: Similar to original snapshot shape (some MineCon snuk in), I tweaked cololurs to make it stand out more and added noise from emerald behind it to make it stand out even more since it otherwise blends in.
- Redstone: Based on its new texture, although the revision with the flatter top.
- Quartz: Not changed. Just so you know. Even though it's in the image.
- Coal: Larger chunks like its new texture.

This pack goes above programmer art or similar ore packs as a couple textures have been left unchanged which would contradict with what the pack aims for (namely the stone versions of diamond and emerald ores)

Enjoy! I hope you give this pack a shot. Some things I'm considering for the future are putting this over normal stone, and compatibility with some emissive things. I won't do that for a while though if I choose to.

Do not reupload. Ask me about modifying and publishing/sharing just to be respectful so that maybe I'll request recognition. Also ask about inclusion of my assets! I generally want to say yes.
