Here is a list of all of the music added in this pack and where it plays!

Extra notes: Some of the tracks play more commony then others depending on how well they fit the biome. This pack also allows the original nether tracks to be played slightly more often then they have been allowed since 1.16.

While the boss music has been replaced with Osiris from the Legacy versions, C418's boss.ogg still plays as a ambient track when exploring the End. (And it also has a 1/100 chance to still play in the boss fight due to a bandaid solution to patch a bug I have been having trouble with.) ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Download the replacement version HERE!

This version of the resource pack replaces the new 1.18 and 1.19 music with unused Minecraft Alpha and Beta tracks by C418.

Great effort was made to ensure that these "new" songs replace certain 1.18 songs so that they best fit into the areas you are likely to hear them. Examples are shown in the preview video.

So wether you are feeling nostalgic for the classic days of Minecraft or you simply do not like the new music added in 1.18 and 1.19, this is the version for you!

[Game Music]

Intro = stand_tall
Minecraft (C418 + Deadmau5) = wending
Kyoto = floating_dream
Door & Chris = an_ordinary_day
Moog City = firebugs
Flake = comforting_memories
Équinoxe = left_to_bloom

Calm 4 = 5

Ancient City, The End, and new Nether music are unchanged in this version.

It shouldn't matter too much where on the resource pack list you put Lost Nostalgia unless one of your other packs messes with the game music or records. In that case, put this pack at the top of the list.

Some songs had to be combined to fit and either play one right after another or blend seamlessly together.

This pack is built as simple as possible for compatibility. Because of that, the music track names are unchanged despite playing different songs.

5 Update Logs

Update #5 - New Music Frequency Fix : by AceOcarinas 10/08/2022 10:08:06 amOct 8th, 2022

Fixed a issue causing the added overworld songs to play WAY to frequently vs official songs.

Of course if you prefer that, there is no need to update but yeah that wasn't intentional. My B.

Note: This issue did not effect the Replacement Version so that version does not need updated.

Could you make a version of this pack that adds Minecraft 2 & Droopy Likes your face to the genera; overworld list? I love those tracks and would love to hear them more. Or if not could you tell me how I could modify the .json to make the track play more often in every common overworld biome?

Does this resourcepack work fine in 1.20 with the new desert and cherry tracks? It would be a shame if either those tracks were too common or irremovable.

It should. The way this pack works is that instead of decreasing the weight of the new official tracks, it increases the weight of everything else to match. So they can add as many new songs as they want. Unless they made the weight something crazy high. When I get the chance I will update the pack again. There are some things I want to tweak anyway but for now, it should still work fine.

I wanna make a "lost nostalgia music pack" pack where you lose all of the nostalgia but I need to think of where to put the music since I don't want to add songs (especially any songs that Lena/Tanioka-san sold off to corporate), but still want their "new separation of music" thing and there isn't much music... XD
